trooper pleaded guilty to three counts of simple assault but he will not be seen any jail time. inside the courtroom he apologizes. his attorney says the victim is not happy with this plea agreement. there are two sets of rules for police. >> if they were regular citizens who committed this act they would have gone to jail. reporter: massachusetts trooper flynn faces similar assault

it's part of his plea agreement. he will give up any future career and undergo anger management and pay restitution to the victim. the state of new hampshire attorney general says this agreement is severe punishment because the former trooper will no longer be able to pursue his career. anchor: a boston teenager is in the hospital right now. quite she was anchor: the family says she thought she heard her friends fighting. when she left her home, she realized the people were not her friends and that is when the gunshots began. police arrived almost immediately but the 18-year-old had been shot and the shooter was already gone.
