live at the scene with the latest information. reporter: at last check the boy was in stable condition. the district attorney says he was shot the facial area. at this point this appears to have been a tragic accident. a mother tries to comfort a crying child where authorities say a tragic accident unfolded after 3:00 when it went off. it struck one of the boys in the face. >> that boy has been transported to a boston hospital. we believe he is doing ok right now the any gunshot wound is dangerous and anything can happen. reporter: family members can be seen trying to make sense of what happened, how one boy could've shot the other. the shooting does not appear intentional.
