during our holiday weekend. harvey: 75 mile-per-hour wind could intensify. then it will go back to tropical storm strength. when it reemerges the big question is we know what is going to move into slow currents. in that case the south coast and the islands would have a medium chance of getting wind gusts and rain. the chances of getting rough surf are very high. i want to work on the range and that track to determine whether the effects will be significant or not.

weather in a few minutes. anchor: a woman is dead in a hit and run crash. the driver they were looking for has contacted them. newscenter 5's mary saladna is live in milford with the ongoing investigation. reporter: ed, the driver has come forward, we also now know the name of the victim, she is 65 yr old barbara clement, a beloved town constable, who everyone knew as sarge because h the army nat'l guard. this is where it happened, the 200 block of main street, still a very active scene. this hit and run happened around 4pm, the police chief says constable clement had just left the bank, was crossing main st, and local surrveillance cameras actually show her stepping out into the path of a passing tractor trailer, it appears she simply saw it coming too late. and it also now appears the driver did not know he hit her. he came forward around an hour

public for help. the chief says the driver owns the truck, works for himself. >> your truck is on the news. he went immediately to the state police and said he believed his truck was involved. as a result he is going to speak with the accident reconstructionist. they are on the way to look over the truck. rt he is cooperating with the investgation, again, the victim a well-known and well-loved constablein town, barbara sarge clement. the police chief says hearst are heavy here tonight in milford. maria: right now a babysitter is facing charges in arlington accused of being drunk and high while watching a three-year-old. newscenter 5's john atwater is live in arlington john, the family had used this babysitter

>> they have. you can tell they are trying to process everything but their three euro son is ok. it was a neighbor who saw the babysitter out here stumbling around. she called 911 and police came here to the neighborhood. that person knew something was not right. the woman was drunk and high. home. police say they found evidence of alcohol in her car. no indication he ever took a ride in the car. the family initially found the sitter on care.com. >> when you're going to hire someone to watch your children

>> as of now we are in seven countries. reporter: she is so grateful the good is resonating. >> it is the energy behind the intention. leaving a message for other people and connecting. anchor: she was compelled to start a website and is planning to write a book with the story she has been sent around the world. there is the storm. it continues to sit there. what's moving along but not that quickly. it is slowly moving to the northeast and will make landfall in the next two hours. to the east of the center, you are getting this wind, very strong. it is the storm surge that is most concerning.

it is the east side of where the storm surge is. take a look at this. that is estimated to be between four and nine feet. there are watches, tropical storms up the coast to new jersey. this is the track of the storm. it will then drop be maintain tropical storm status and then reemerge over the water again off of the virginia coast. that is where it gets ticklish in terms of intensity. there are no tracks that cross into new england. a lot of tracks slow it in this region. if it is slow in this position that is close enough to bring wind and rain to the south coast

the effects would be less than that. the worst-case scenario, heavy rain for the south coast and the cape. a low chance of coastal flooding. sunday afternoon it is the greatest risk. overall the chance of giving had a rain -- overall the chance of getting heavy rain is lower north. the closest pass is later in the week in. one computer model does bring the heavier rain into our region. it also brings gusty to strong wind during sunday into sunday night. 40 plus on the cape and less from boston northward.
