sick left and right. >> ben: we are tracking breaking news. a fire has gone to three alarms. firefighters battled the huge flames. several surrounding departments were called in to help and no word on the cause of the fire at this hour. right now trains are running on the green line as a tree came down and buses replaced the d-branch between newton highlands and riverde head wire. crews were brought in to remove the tree before the service could be restored. >> maria: the city arson squad is investigating an explosive device found on a boston police officer's lawn. it looked like a better bottle device similar to a molotov cocktail. they are elgt investigating and it was discovered yesterday morning and left a

drunk driving charges. police say she hit a man who was out for a run yesterday and that's where we find newscenter 5's rhondella richardson. >> the victim suffered life-threatening injuries. the pick up truck took off with their hazard lights on. they likely prevented injury to others. >> two guys in the truck boxed the lady in and there was blood on the windshield. >> witnessing the arrest he has high praise on the two pick up drivers who gave chase for a mile. they say elliott was driving drunk on the busy avenue when she struck a jogger.

>> maria: where i was it was the best weekend ever. >> ben: sunny and a little breezy. >> maria: down to the south, a different story. >> mike: not far you had to go to to find a little wind and rain. nantucket 50 mile an hour wind gusts. even toward fall river and plymouth. 40 mile an hour wind gusts so far. inland not much island to nantucket and we have seen them at this hour running 45 to 50 miles an hour. the strongest winds are between now and 5:00. occasional gusts around the city 30 to 40 miles per hour. with all of the wind we had a number of reports with reports of damages. first off the wind gust of 58 on land. the report offshore was 64 mile an hour wind gusts.

several small boats that were dragging their anchor. as far as martha's vineyard the power lines are down. as you look across the cape look at the number of reports we had. most involves the wind blowing down the trees. trees blowing down and branches to power lines and created a few scattered power outages. trees down along buzzard's bay. reports of tree limbs down and even trees falling on the power lines. there are reports of power lines down because of the gsy winds. and it wasn't just there. we had a tree down near the high school. that's because the trees have been so damaged by the drought weather we have had lately

doesn't take much to take them out. we have the system spinning away and keeping the northeasterly wind going and bringing some rain. as it inches north we will get more and more bands to develop. we had a nice band across the north shore. there hasn't been a lot, but any drop of water is welcome. through the city we had a few scattered showers. we had a nice band of showers go through there and it does look like it is it lets up until you get to duckbury and then most of the activity has been down through the cape and the island. this is where we will see rain coming through. we won't get that much rain out of it. perhaps an isolated area of one or two.

moves on. the waves offshore have been impressive and they will continue to throw the energy at the coast. we will see 10 to 15-foot seas offshore right now. as the system winds its way to the north it looks like it will pass over nantucket as we talk about wednesday. but in a much reduced state. they are up to 70 right now. windy and showers off and on. most is concentrated toward the showers and breezy. behind it comes hot, humid weather and it will be muggy. a chance of thunderstorms on friday. the dry weather works in no big rain makers unfortunately this forecast because we could use the water. that's our latest forecast for right now. >> here is josh with the
