detectives had been in contact with the 46-year-old braintree man for weeks. they made an arrangement to meet at the mcdonald's on main street, where bliss would pay $200 in exchange for sex. police arrested him when he arrived monday night, and say he say hundreds of dollars in his pocket. other academy officials haven't returned our calls about the charges and whether they'd affect bliss' position. the boarding school, located at the former norfolk county hospital, just opened its doors this summer. told newscenter 5 bliss was arraigned tuesday in worcester district court. he was released on personal recognizance and is due back in court october 17. i did speak with the mayor of braintree earlier this afternoon. he says the cap academy has no affiliation with the braintree public schools. he did not feel comfortable commenting. juli mcdonald, wcvb newscenter 5

new hampshire is accused of exposing himself to children here in massachusetts. 30-year-old jacob mobley-hall arrested yesterday near lexington high for allegedly exposing himself on the fitness path. police say there have been several reports of this happening this week. the manchester man faces several counts of open and gross lewdness. jc: right now, worcester police are investigating a deadly shooting. officers were called to gallagher's pub on west boylston street just before midnight. outside they found two people shot. one died. e leg. the shooting actually happened on nearby loring street. so far, no arrests have been made. new at 5:00 -- a lawrence firefighter is deemed a danger today and denied bail. joseph carberry shot himself in the leg in his lawrence home, during a confrontation with police earlier this week. officers responded to reports of a domestic dispute, early tuesday morning. when they arrived, carberry's sister and niece had already left the house.

>> you are watching news center five at 5:00. ben: all right, folks stunning video from austin, texas. that's a car dangling from a parking garage in downtown austin, texas. the driver somehow managed to drive the car off the top level, getting caught in the high-tension wires. drove off the level of the garage and got caught and wires. the driver, amazingly, escaped without injuries. dozens of tourists, including a child, pulled to safety after getting stranded in these cable cars overnight. a total of 110 people got trapped following some kind of technical incident yesterday.

could you imagine that? getting pulled out of one of those onto a helicopter? the rest had to stay put overnight until crews reached them. wow. jc: new details in that new terrorism investigation in france. security officials now say a 19-year-old woman linked to gas canisters found inside a car outside paris' notre dame cathedral had pledged allegiance to isis. she also had been engaged, separately, to two extremists who carried out deadly attacks in france earlier this year. a second women has also been arrested in connection to the finding. a major move by congress ahead of the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. today, house lawmakers approved legislation that would allow families of the victims to sue the government of saudi arabia. 15 of the 19 hijackers were saudi nationals. president obama is expected to veto the legislation for fear it could further strain the country's relationship with saudi arabia a critical u.s. ally in the mideast.

ronald reagan will leave a mental hospital today. john hinckley, jr. has been institutionalized for decades after being found not guilty by reason of insanity. but in july, a federal judge ruled he was no longer a danger to society or himself. the 61-year-old will be allowed to live with his mother in a gated community in virginia. jc: the water is now gone in louisiana but the cleanup is , well underway. governor john bel edwards was on capitol hill today lobbying for more flood relief. edwards wants congress to approve a 2 billion dollar package to help his state rebuild from the major disaster which cost more than in damage. $8 billiongovernor edwards: while the storm did not have a name, every person that it affected does. homes and businesses that never flooded before were suddenly underwater. many families lost everything, not just their homes. jc: that storm, by the way dropped 7 trillion gallons of , rain in south louisiana last month, killing 13 people and flooding more than 100,000

warm on the shoreline as it is inland. 95 still in hartford at this time. here is slightly less uncomfortable air that will be with us on into tonight. it will be a struggle to get down to 70 in boston. another warm night in september. tomorrow will not be as warm as today. a couple reasons for that. number one, went off the water. there will be clouds around for a part of today. water temperatures still above 70 for most of the water around cape cod. cooler around nantucket and of course the north shore, coastal new hampshire, coastal maine. there may be a spotty shower or two coming off the water, but the rip current risks will be fairly low for tomorrow and there will be a riptide coming up at lunchtime. we have slightly dry air for tonight.
