boucher for months, investigates are not commenting on a motive. >> the man sentenced to death for the killing of two men will ask a jury to spare his life. gary samson pled guilty to the july 2001 carjacking murders and was sentenced to death. but that sentence was thrown out five years ago after a judge found one juror lied about her background. the new trial is expected to last three the new york city skyline is illuminated here in remembrance of 9/11 in what has become tradition, beams of light marked the places where the twin towers of the world trade center stood 15 years ago. it's been 15 years since that day changing so many lives in this country. in boston, all of those lives were remembered. people gathered with candles in the seaport district. they started at a 9/11 mass for peace, healing, and justice.

and we're going to be closer to that by this afternoon, and notice, we jump back up into the 80s again tomorrow, and wednesday, and before we really start to cool it down. definitely a fall feel returning. and a beautiful start this morning, the skies are clear, and the sun getting ready to pop up. the sunrise officially at 6:21. and you can see how clear the skies are across new england, the plunge that triggered the storms. it's to the south, and behind it, we have got a large area of high pressur b canada, so from the canadian border, all the way down towards the mid atlantic states, the great lakes, we have this dry, refreshing air so it will take a while for the humidity to feed in. you will notice the comfortable conditions through tomorrow and on wednesday, the humidity will start to pick up a bit but really comfortable for now. we have this dry air in place, and it cools down quickly at night, so look at all the 40s on the map this morning. 46 in nashua, orange down to 44.

low 50s down around marshfield and the cape, and 43 norwood and 60 as you are heading out in boston. we are going to have sunshine basically all did i but notice the winds light this morning. by lunchtime they are shifting so a sea breeze today, low 70s at the coastline. 77 in nashua and lawrence, and fey tonight, the red sox are back in town taking on the orioles 7:10, have a sweatshirt or a jack with you. it's going to cool off quickly down in the 60s, and overnight lows, mostly in the 50s tonight, and some of our coolest suburbs could be back down into the 40s so a cool start tomorrow but high pressure sliding eastward, southwesterly winds bring back the warmer temperatures, and here's the front we're watching, this is the next chance of any showers and thunderstorms on wednesday. and probably holds off until the end of the day, so we'll start out with the sunshine, and notice the showers and thunderstorms approaching into the afternoon, and maybe the

regional schools tells us that the page school in west new bury is operating on a three-hour delay today because they have a power outage there. emily: right now there are questions involving water storage tanks in concord, massachusetts. this is the second case this summer. in august the town found a lock was damaged on one of the tanks, and according to the town's website, a similar incident was reported friday. public works officials say that isolated from the water distribution system out of an abundance of caution. randy: your economy headlines, ride share service uber is bringing self driving taxis to the streets. the service, which will launch in pittsburgh is raising some concern that the safety experts say that the technology is not ready for the experiment. the state has yet to pass a bank requirement that permit testing of the cars, or rules about crashes. advocates of the karsay

the average price after a gallon of gasoline has been going up. the lundberg reports regular gasoline is up 4 cents over the past three weeks to $2.21 a gallon but it's still 23 cents lower than a year ago. massachusetts is below the national average. emily: asian stocks fell as investors reacted to the feds' comments on an interest rate hike. stock futures are down a the market will react to a business report just released overnight showing the economy will continue to grow for the next two years. and eating right is a common goal, not always easy but it turns out that instagram could hold the inspiration you are looking for. >> we know they are full of food. that turns out that could help your waistline. >> no doubt about it, diet disasters are often a favorite on instagram, but diet helpers

superintendent of panticket regional schools saying their school is operating on a three-hour delay due to a power outage. emily. emily: two teenagers are facing charges in the stabbing of a driver including assault with intent to murder. randy: the eye's sera congi is outside the courthouse in chelsea where the teens are going to be in front of a judge today. >> the suspects are just 15 and 17 years old. they have not been chelsea police say that they allegedly attacked a 57-year-old east boston man on sunday night near congress avenue on chelsea street -- in chelsea. the teens had hired the victim from a livery company. that driver suffering injuries from a stab wound, was taken to mass general hospital where he's in stable condition. the teenagers are both charged with armed assault with intent to murder as well as assault and battery, and they will be arraigned later today here at

wcvb newscenter 5. randy: thank you. two people are recovering this morning after overdoses. a third man was pronounced dead at the scene. boston ems says the men were found unconscious on sunday afternoon, and first responders here attempted full resuscitation on all three but one did not make it. the other two men were brought to area hospitals for treatment. right now a woman is facing charges after tsa employees found a loaded gun in her purse. the state police tell the globe that it appears that the 59-year-old woman had forgotten the handgun was there, and they say it did not seem intentionally concealed. the woman was allowed to abort the flight. she's facing a charge of carrying a handgun with ammunition. >> a plymouth man is expected in court today charged with stealing police support flags on the cape. barn stability police say

hickman on the 149 overpass. hickman is accused of taking the flags off the overpass and burying them in the woods. police are also checking if he is connected to two other cases of similar vandalism. and a community service project in boston to honor the lives lost on september 11. hundreds spent the day supporting the massachusetts military hero's fund. the goal, to help with care packages, will be sent to troops homeless veterans here. one school of volunteers, 9/11 is a history rather than a memory. this shows solidarity with the families affected by the tragedy. >> i think it's a great thing that we have the ability to send stuff to soldiers and we can help out the homeless, and it brings the day around for me from a really sad place to a place where we felt the recover and the support. >> this is the eighth year the

randy: the eyeopener team ready with news to go. we're in foxborough and chelsea and erika is tracking a health scare that has hillary clinton off the campaign trail. >> cleanup underway after winds uproot trees in gus frerotte, and strong winds moved in with heavy rain but it was a situation made worse by the drought. residents say the storm only lasted a few minutes but that was enough to rip four trees

supported by staffers as she stumbled leaving the 9/11 memorial. her doctor revealing that she has been diagnosed with pneumonia on friday and prescribed antibiotics. she attributed the shaky exit to the candidate being dehydrated and overheated adding that she is recovering nicely. she canceled events today and tomorrow in california and is planning to travel to las vegas on wednesday. donald trump, who is campaigning today in maryland, and north carolina, has yet to >> erika, two teenagers will face a judge today for allegedly attacking a livery driver. police found the 57-year-old east boston man in a vehicle on congress avenue suffering serious injuries from a stab wound. the driver was working for a livery company and giving the teenagers a ride when they allegedly attacked him inside of the minivan. the suspects are 15 and 17. they have not been identified. they will be arraigned later

including armed assault with intent to murder. live in chelsea this morning, sera congi, wcvb newscenter 5. >> in just hours the cease-fire is scheduled to begin in syria. it's a keel -- deal brokered by john kerry and russian leaders. the deal allows the syrian government to continue striking al-qaeda-linked militants until the u.s. and russia take over in a week but they say it allows the syrian president to secure his government. at least 91 people have been killed in attacks in the two days since that agreement was reached. >> police are starting their body camera pilot program today, finally on friday, a judge decided the department does have the authority to require officers to be wearing the cameras. it will be part of a six-month pilot program starting today, and the union president pat rose, expressed disappointment with the judge's decision,
