highway. expect delays as well as a crash on 128 south by 128. emily: a manhunt is underway after a methuen woman was found murdered in her home. her ex-boyfriend on the run this morning wanted in connection with the crime and even more shocking their little boy was just feet away during the attack. >> the eyeopener's doug meehan is tracking the developments for us. doug? doug: good morning. the family of the victim obviously heartbroken this search for her ex-boyfriend this morning. wanda rosa's body was discovered yesterday inside her tudor street home. and right now police are looking for emilio delarosa, the father of their four-year-old son. friends tells newscenter 5 rosa wanted her ex to know her son because he had just been released for prison. serving time for kidnapping

flight to florida but could not make contact with her. the circumstances of how she was found are still unclear but police say that she is safe this morning. randy: five minutes after 6:00. donald trump is campaigning through the battleground state today. and president barack obama is hitting the campaign trail for hillary clinton in philadelphia after she was forced to take time off because of illness, and erika is here with the new her health later this week, and now she's urging her rival to do the same. that's as she explained why she kept her pneumonia quiet. >> like a lot of people, i just thought that i could keep going forward and power through it, and obviously that did not work out so well. >> clinton there discussing this stumble on cnn last night which happened two days after she was diagnosed. she opened up about her health

believe that she was between the ages of 15-25 when she was tortured and killed. >> we are hearing from the high school player in the city of worcester about his decision to take a knee during the national anthem. that junior at dotemy memorial was reluctant to admit why. his name is michael oppong. he told his coach he was trying to tie his shoe but when his coach told him he may end up missing a game he sent a tweet suspended for the gesture. oppong was not disciplined once it was made clear he knelt because he was upset about the injustice to african-americans and the superintendent of schools says that he is executing his constitutional right. >> i want to kneel because even though this whole situation is dealt with, there is inequality for blacks. >> school is implementing the

center eyeing parts of southern new england here with the risk for severe thunderstorms, a marginal risk but the primary concern would be the potential for damaging winds, and as this front coming in has quite a bit of energy with it, so we will watch that threat tomorrow late in the day, and storms right now are way back here towards the great lakes, and you can see that line, kind of boeing out, an indication on the radar when you see that, that there is wind potential there, and you can see there is a broken line so not every community will get a thunderstorm tomorrow but we'll makes progress. out ahead of it today, we have got another gorgeous day. the high pressure right overhead so we have got the comfortable, dry air in place, and as that approaches there is a ribbon of more humid air out ahead of it, so the humidity will pick up briefly tomorrow and come right back down behind that front for the end of the week but overall really comfortable stuff out there this morning. look at the temperatures, in the 40s, whack towards orange and norwood and taunton in the upper

56 in worcester, and 61 as you are heading out in boston right now, and difference between yesterday and today, skies are going to look the same but the wind direction is different. that southwesterly wind will keep the sea breeze away so we were stuck at 72 yesterday afternoon in boston. and should be about 82 this afternoon. coolest readings on the south coast and cape as this wind comes off the water it holds in the 70s. mid 70s tonight at fenway if you are going to the game. it looks really nice, and we're down into mostly the 60sto recall soily wind. we'll watch this front approach, and that will bring in that threat so that's why tomorrow is one of those red impact weather days. the potential for the storms probably by 3:00 around the worcester area, and could impact the evening commute at boston and then notice that line dropping towards the cape by sunset in the evening. once that front clears the coast feeling like fall late in the week, as we have cooler air working in, and saturday looking like the pick day of the weekend.

olessa: we're talking about the situation in woburn, and route 38, the road underneath 128, partially closed because of this break. you can see the cars are at a crawl, shutting down all the lanes throughout the day for repairs, as well as one northbound lane so expect very heavy volume there if you can avoid it, that's the best bet, we're in decent shape as far as the incidents go, the volume is in place and here's the expressway at the gas tank and you can see it's a 30-minute ride from braintree into boston. heading to the maps next, once again there is the water main break that we were right here on route 38, underneath 128, and another break, this one on hyde park avenue over by american legion highway, not causing too much of a headache but keep it in mind, and then as you head south we have a crash here working on 128 southbound by route 28, back to 24, and expressway, about a half-hour from braintree into boston, 495 for 128, and another crash, this one over on route 2, eastbound, in littleton by 495 where one lane is closed, also some delays for the worcester

emily. emily: sweeping changes to how the state handles the mentally ill. >> the eye's sera congi is at the state house in boston with the new move in the criminal justice system. >> governor baker is expected to make his announcement today. his administration calling this a new level of care for mentally ill inmates. according to the globe some of the changes include additional mental health services. also limits on t corrections officers have with mentally ill inmates at bridgewater state hospital. the new plan also includes every inmate receive an individual treatment plan within their first ten days at a facility. the governor wants to move the mentally ill inmates convicted of state crimes from bridgewater state, which is a medium security prison to a separate facility. while those charged not yet convicted of minor crimes, stay put. advocates are praising this
