brentwood, new hampshire, are allowed back inside their homes after a stand-off with a suicidal person. >> this is on millpond road earlier this afternoon. brentwood police and the sheriff's office on the scene. when they entered the home they found the suspect dead. neighbors have now been let back inside their home. >> this is the same road where brentwood police officer was shot and killed in 2014, while responding to a domestic dispute just before that explosion, which killed the suspect. >> potential for severe weather across the region night you. >> storms are popping up across the area and harvey is tracking it all. >> we did have one to come through boston an hour ago. right now the activity is pretty scattered but we have a couple of location that is we're following carefully. one is up in southern new hampshire there. just to the eastern part of manchester. here's a good one that went through southern worcester, just about to franklin right now. that's a good downpour. may have some thunder and lightning and gusty winds with it. as we widen out there is a cell

but the strongest activity probably where it's hottest and most humid from about providence southwest through southeastern connecticut, but we're focusing on this particular cell as it gets close to franklin moving off to the southeast the other area that we're focussed on is up in southern new hampshire. east-southeast. might get to the northeast corner of the state around newberry port. here's how it looks. it's pretty scattered activity but again, we can still have up until about 6:00 or 7:00, through the region. then it settles south of boston. then to about cape cod around 8:00. and then offshore. the reason we continue to monitor these very carefully is because any one of them, they are very fast moving, can have some strong gusty winds with it. some lightning, and briefer, very heavy downpours. we'll have much more in a few minutes. >> breaking news this evening, in the murder of a mother inside her own home. here's the breaking details just

ex-boyfriend who is wanted in connection. what do we know? >> we've just received some new pictures of the suspect. they are pictures of tattoos on his body. they are on his back and neck. it simply reads -- located on his left arm, the first name of the woman he's accused of murdering monday. rhonda rosa. his arrest warrant that was issued yesterday confirming what family the day of the murder. that his 4-year-old son witnessed him kill his mother. >> the family of the murder victim removing personal items from her home this afternoon including toys that belonged to her 4-year-old son, a boy who according to new court documents was lying in bed right next to his mother as his father strangled her.

after murdering his mother, he took the boy to lawrence where he told his sister it's over, it's over, it's over. she called police after which they found wanda rosa on the second floor under a purplish quit. officers saw ret marks on the victim's neck. the couple's son first told family members my daddy shook my mommy, then told police, mommy is dead already. the warrant went on to read the boy told police his father and left her on the ground and covered her with a purple blanket adding, his mother didn't say anything because she died. rosa have a history of domestic violence for which a permanent restraining order had been issued against de la rosa, but this past june in an effort to have her son spend more time with his father, rhonda modified that order of protection allowing de la rosa back into

also indicates that neighbors heard the little boy screaming, no, daddy, no, daddy, but did not call police because those screams quieted. in the meantime, de la rosa is still at large. >> there is also breaking news on the campaign trail. hillary clinton's campaign has just released health information saying she's being treated for a mild case of pneumonia and the remainder of her physical was normal. her doctors says "she's in excellent mental condition this release comes after donald trump makes some health revelations of his own. >> why not show your medical records. >> donald trump is sharing, providing a summary of his latest physical during a taped interview on the dr. oz show. >> all the tests that were just done last week. >> disclosure comes as hillary clinton station one more day off the campaign trail. >> she's feeling great.

the braintree police and its results on some of the cases that have been through that area. let's take a listen in. >> today, police, in collaboration with the d.a.'s office, released the august 26 independent audit. i find the auditor's report and poor record keeping practices by the police department to be deeply troubling and unacceptable. the police department has and will continue to conduct an investigation.

the release of the audit at this time will allow all individuals who may be affected by these findings. this is necessary information to ensure their right to a fair tria trial. >> all of this is in the report we're releasing today. this response is in direct response to the auditor's report to reflect the police department's efforts to reconcile the department records, to the extent possible, that we've done over the past few weeks. the department's response reflects that all but 12 firearms identified as missing, in the audit, have been accounted for. all firearms seized from 2008 to

a substantial amount of creased money and narcotics evidence. there is still a lot more work to do to determine a fully accurate account of these items contained in the audit, and the department is continuing its efforts in that regard. additionally, i've asked the attorney general's office for their review matter and they have agreed to assist us. it should be emphasized, as noted by the independent audit that purges conducted by the police department in 2009 and 2012, were not properly recorded. and that a majority of the evidence identified as missing during that time period was

purchase. this audit makes clear that there were significant administrative errors in the handling and storage of the evidence by the department. new protocols and procedures on the storage of evidence have already been established. i as well as chief jenkins accept the independent audits' recommendations and preserve current and future evidence, and we'll take corrective steps necessary to ensure that all new procedures are implemented, fully implemented and adhered to. i thank you for your time today. >> you've been listening to the mayor of braintree discussing an audit on braintree police. 5 investigates first told you

and then it actually intensifies. really develops, a little bit of a downburst and we get some raindrops on the lens. then the little system comes right over the location of city cam. boom. it's pouring rain. can't see anything. then a few minutes later, it's done. and that's what these showers, where they have hit, have been light this afternoon. very brief, very quick. but again, now you're seeing the lightning with the line down here from providence to new london, connecticut. we also have an area in southern new hampshire but that's showing something of a weakening trend as it moves towards portsmouth. a little cell that's moved out of southern worcester county and is moving into the southwest suburbs of boston. we still have action in portsmouth and also have a little downpour over here that looks like it's been weakening. still tracking it toward norton. main action now right down in here. this is our strongest activity east-central rhode island, it may nick a little portion of

tracking that as we go through our evening newscast. then there could still an additional downpour that just develops the actual front will be coming through around 6:00 or 7:00. the wind shifts to the north and cooler, dry air will come in. the last of any downpour or thunderstorm rest look be around the cape and exits around 9:00. cool, dry air, the real feel of fall, will overhead the region later tonight. be with us tomorrow night. early on friday. and really even friday afternoon. patch clouds. at fenway tonight, i think the thunderstorm threat should be just about done completely by game time. starting to cool down. the temperature will slide into the 60s during the course of the game and there will be an active breeze. at gillette, if there is any activity it should be in the next hour or two and then they should be okay for the concert itself. but again, it will be turning

records today were tied or broken in places like washington and new york. providence, rhode island, record lying 90 but this represents cool, dry air that's going to be flowing in. the dew points and humidity drop sharply tomorrow. very comfortable. cool by morning and it will stay cool tomorrow. with high temperatures only making it into the upper 60s in boston. maybe 70 or so over inland areas. this is tropical storm julia, with 40 mile per hour winds. just a minimal tropical storm, but since it's n not going to move much, the big risk is big rain producer. that's the thing with julia. there could be several inches of rain. maybe even three to circumstances or more over parts of the southeast u.s. coastline. there is our weather. lots of beautiful weather to look forward to thursday and friday. it warms up some on saturday. second half of the weekend, the chances of showers and thunderstorms will increase, especially in our western and northern areas. all of us may get some showers and thunderstorms sunday night
