out. braintree police now scrambling to fix an evidence room disaster. an audit going back to 1999 found sex assault kits stored in a trailer out back. heat-sealed evidence bags ripped open or cut. drugs, 70 guns and $400,000 in cash gone. the mayor calls the shoddy records. >> deeply troubling and unacceptable. we have asked the attorney general's office to assist us in a review of this matter. already walking free. stephen o'brien was accused of kidnapping. police arrested him again for drugs, but those drug charges now dropped. >> quincy court given the current state of the evidence room in braintree. we cannot prosecute the case at this stage. shaun: police have now found some of the missing evidence. roughly a quarter of the missing cash. and 56 of 70 missing guns. including two guns found at officer susan zopatti's home.

methuen on monday. the two had a child together. according to new court documents, their four-year-old boy witnessed the attack and told police that his mom was dead. the search for a missing swimmer in plymouth suspended until morning. rescue teams combing herring pond for hours. right now, our jorge quiroga is live in plymouth. jorge, what more have you learned tonight? jorge. , thisha tonight, this is a lot of questions about the conditions on the water when the swimmer went under. with darkness quickly setting tonight it was evident, what started out as a search and rescue had sadly turned into a recovery effort. rescue teams had but three hours of daylight before darkness and lightning forced them to pull all boats out of the water.

course at mile 7, forcing some runners to stop for minutes. some of those people wanted to use their race time to qualify for boston. but boston marathon organizers said today it can't accept adjusted race times, even if the train was at fault. the race organizers in pennsylvania says the railroad told them trains would be suspended. the trains were not. it doesn't se too. here is a thing, too. when i end up home flat. any red sox runner. that is a not a good thing. it doesn't seem fair either. this one hurts.
