nicole: on campus tonight, a big sense of relief and confusion as to what led a fellow student to say she was attacked and then recant the story. an early morning email alerting students to a report of an attack on summer street. the reporting student told police that a man in a ski mask put a bag over her head and tried to take her clothes off. according to police the student then recanted her story. what we don't know at this point is why, students tell us it is the end of a day of concern on campus but the beginning of many questions. >> i can't imagine why someone would make something like this up. for sure, it really scared me. but i'm definitely glad it's not true and i feel 10 times safer on campus. nicole if there is any good in : all of us, students spent the day reminded of the importance of walking in pairs and taking other safety measures.

from massachusetts into new hampshire. catherine steele, lawrence calafell and kevon simpson, are facing the charges. calafell and simpson both face numerous drug charges, while steele was charged with two driving infractions. heather: federal aviation officials are receiving an overwhelming number of requests for drone licenses. they say so many people are registering drones and applying to fly them, that they wonder if there will eventually be millions of drones crowding the nation's skies. the director of the faa says new registrations are coming in at a rate of 2,000 per day. so far, 550,000 drones have been nasa is working with industry and the faa to create a new low-altitude air traffic control system specifically for drones. ed: the mbta is launching a force of its kind program. jorge quiroga has more on the innovative plan.

school for the blind are very excited about this new pilot program, governor baker today warmly greeted by the disabled as he rolled out a new transmission option for them partnering the mbta uber and , lyft, the on demand paratransit program provides a more convenient and cheaper alternative to the ride. using an app, or by phone , disabled customers can hail a ride any time or anywhere. out of pocket costs, substantially lower as well. the customer pays the first 2 bucks, the mbta pays the next $13 and the customer pays the remainder of the trip. by comparison the ride has to be , scheduled a day in advance. >> their open times i miss appointments, medical appointments i scheduled months and months in advance and i miss it because i am 15 minutes late and then i have to wait another six or eight months to get another appointment. jorge: the on demand paratransit program, the first of its kind, will be tested for a year. coming up at 6:00, the governor
