anchor: breaking news, a person shot inside a cvs. the massive yahoo data hack the millions at risk tonight. a push for peace, born out of tragedy. the local group helping families of murder victims tonight's 5 for good. >> birther wcvb at 7:00. >> we start with some breaking news, a shooting inside of a cvs. ed: a teen rushed to the hospital. newscenter 5's jorge quiroga is live at the scene with how it all unfolded. >> three suspects came in here to the store looking for the victim. three hours after that young man

it happened shortly after 4 this afternoon at the cvs at the corner of washington and central streets in stoughton. a man in a car outside, telling our partners at the brockton enterprise, thats when he spotted 3 men get out of a car and go into the store. moments later he heard gun shots. renee nogueira was at the cvs buying some groceries sot 25 i heard them talking about mybe going outside to each other like yelling and then i heard a couple of pops 31 >> the argument tued 18-year-old male was already in the store >> but then i looked and the young man was holding his shoulder, he was standing up he seemed ok. conscious and everything. anchor: his injuries apparently not life threatening. he was taken by ambulance to good samaritan hospital.

at the cvs she has spoken to her fellow employees on the phone all of them ok. nobody else hurt. robbery apparently not a motive. >> jorge others telling us that after the shooting,customers -- no arrests have been made. a statement from police, they are trying to identify those suspects. >> thank you. anchor: train in mansfield. it happened right near the mansfield station on crocker street. trains on the providence line were delayed as the investigation unfolded. >> the patriots are hosting the houston texans. the game starts at 8:25. we just got a list of the players. let's get to mike on the field.

yahoo! says a half ilion accounts have been hacked, probably by a foreign government. yahoo only recently discovered the break-in, but it actually happened back in 2014. it's believed hackers stole names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth and passwords. not impacted, payment card data, including bank or credit card information. yahoo says users should change their passwords and security questions and check their activity. anchor: a manslaughter charge has been sent out for an officer who killed terence crutcher. the officer is white, the victim was black. shelby says she fired after crutcher did not respond to repeated verbal commands. national guard troops have been deployed in charlotte, north

of the rioting that plagued the city for the past 2 nights. a state of emergency is still in effect. this follows last week's shooting of keith scott. his family is expected to see police video of the shooting this evening. the local police chief says the video does not clearly show scott carrying a weapon. anchor: right now, police are searching for the driver who hit and killed a man on a motorcycle. and took off. the victim involved in another accident seconds before. richardson shows us the clues police are focusing on. reporter: lisa been trying to find the driver, a person of interest in the death of the motorcyclist here. the family of the man killed on the line brought flowers to the scene. their loved ones motorcycle was

if you know anything about that mercedes, police want to hear from you. anchor: a teenager is facing charges connected to this crash in roxbury. he was driving with two other teens. police try to stop or she sped up and failed to maneuver a turn. when of the other teens was maria:a judge deciding whether or not to release information with the driver charged in that deadly crash. bradford casler has multiple sclerosis and is charged with driving his car into the sweet tomatoes restaurant back in february killing two customers inside. his lawyer says unsealing certain prosecution documents could bias the public against him making it hard for him to get a fair trial. ed: big changes coming to 128.

crews will be tearing down the old highland avenue bridge. it's just not safe for cars to drive below the demolition project. the closure happens over the first weekend in november. drivers will be detoured thru neighborhoods nearby. or along new temporary lanes next to the existing ones. >> down the other side. the highway is going from three lanes to two lanes diverted up and over. ed: it's all part of a road widening project that will add an additional lane to 128. maria: five investigates is back on methadone mile, nowhere else in boston are the ravages of the drug addiction crisis so plain to see. back in may, the mayor promised a new push to help the people down there and clean up the area, which the city is now

karen anderson went back to see what, if anything, has changed. >> this is boston. you want to see good things. reporter: right now, that's not easy to do in this part of boston, its a center of both addiction and recovery services . that's how it became known as methadone mile. four months after capturing open drug use and people with addictions seemlingly ignored 5 investigates returned to see what's changed. man handing out needles to a young woman the startling reality of an overdose as paramedics administered narcan bringing the man back to life. on another day, when we found this woman passed out called 911, and watched as people walked by offering no help. dwayne brown is a member of the mayor's new neighborhood engagement team for this area, one of four outreach workers helping people find the services they need, and a path to a

let me get them to safe shelter, let me get them to safe place. because anything can happen out here. >> yes, recovery can occur in an environment like that. reporter: devin larkin leads the bureau of recovery services at the boston public health commission. >> we are serving a population here who have multiple problems. so they are dealing with homelessness, they are trying to find housing, they are struggling with their addiction. it's not a simple solution for any one person. reporter: the city plans to assess this outreach progrn they're also hoping to expand the engagement teams into other ares of the city. we'll be following their progress. anchor: a local group, fighting to change how people view and respond to murder. ed: new at 7: their push for peace, in tonight's 5 for good. a tiny dog with a big story of survival.
