this shooting wasn't random. a bold late afternoon shooting, inside the cvs at washington and central streets in stoughton. the store full of customers. >> no employees from cvs were injured in this incident. it was a customer, who was inside the store. three individuals walked into the store today had an altercation and one was shot. >> i heard them talking about maybe going outside to each other. jorge: renee nogueira was there buying some groceries. >> i looked and the young man was holding his shoulder. he was standing up. he seemed ok, conscious and everything. jorge: the victim, an 18-year-old male shot once. his wound not life threatening. surveillance video capturing the entire clash. andrea calouro works at the store.

for a hit-and-run driver who struck, and killed a man on a motorcycle. and tonight, police know the type of vehicle they're looking for. our john atwater is live in lawrence with new information tonight. john. john: they are looking for anyone who may have seen this crash. family of the man killed here came with flowers and many unanswered questions about the violent crash that claimed his life. the 64-year-old was riding his motorcycle on route 114 around midnight when police say he was run over by a driver who took off. >> a four-door mercedes color black with high intensity lights john: just before he was hit, police say that 64-year-old on the motorcycle hit a man and woman in the nearby crosswalk. >> the woman was hit first then the man and the bike kept going

>> this new heart, transplanted into leonardo's body last month at tufts medical center saved his life. >> oh, man, i have energy. i have warmness in my body. >> he was also the 38th person this year to receive a heart transplant at tufts. breaking a 25-year-old record for new england hospitals. and placing the tufts program in the top ten nationally for heart transplants. >> we usually do about 20 heart transplants a year. triple the amount of heart transplants we've done in the past. >> dr. david is the medical director of the advanced heart failure program at tufts. under his care, some of the hospital's sickest patients live day to day. this year, about 30 percent of the transplanted hearts at tufts have come from a surprising source. people who died from a drug overdose. the opioid crisis resulting in

>> it's really changed the face of the donors that we see. for us, it's it's added some more um challenges. five years ago, only five transplanted hearts in the region came from an overdose victim. this year, more than twenty so far. dr. denofrio says better screening techniques for hepatitis, hiv and other diseases make it possible to accept otherwise-healthy hearts that hospitals would have rejected in the past. we usually talk with the recipient about the potential risks involved. there may be some risk there. may be small, but there's a good riyo this. leonardo says he knows little about the donor other than, there was no high risk. today, he's feeling great and grateful. >> i was blessed by someone else's heart, and i thank that person so much. the numbers keep climbing. they are up to 46 for the year. doctors say more than 90% of those recipients will lib

see the warmth in the midwest to 80 degrees or so maybe even 85 especially south of boston. then, the clouds are at risk a couple of showers. the cold front will come through in the evening. here are the clouds and the showers with the front as you can see right here. that all start south and as with time. and look, it changes, it is much chillier to the north so the feel of fall will be with us. here is the timeline. front comes through. mid to late afternoon. along and beyond it a few showers then much cooler air takes over. a close look at the clouds that come in, and mixed with sun, and a couple of showers here.
