fire in the macy's department store, killing five people. >> while the motive behind that attack friday is still unclear, we are learning more about the suspect. >> about 6:30, we arrested a 20-year-old oak harbor man. >> a mass murderer caught on camera now also captured by police. >> his name is arcan cetin. >> investigators arresting a suspect in the murders of five people inside a washington mall. surveillance stills providing key evidence in the massive manhunt to find him. northbound on the sidewalk, and i instantly recognized that is the person i'd just viewed on my computer. i did an abrupt u-turn, hit my lights, pulled my gun and myself and reserve deputy took the individual into custody. >> what i saw was that there was a gunman holding a rifle shooting, and he saw me, and i took off running. >> joe zavala and his wife were inside macy's when chaos broke out in the makeup department. they not only saw the gunman but

>> found two ladies on the floor. one was face down. a lot of blood, pool of blood on the ground. then there was another lady right next to her. i checked for a pulse. she -- she didn't have any. >> four women and one man all died. >> that was us in that mall last night, any one of us at any time. and it changed those families forever. we need to keep them in our prayers. it changed our community. i'm afraid it's, to some extent, forever. >> officers describe cetin as being in a zombie-like state when they arrested him. now over to what we're learning about the suspect. a preliminary investigation finding that cetin emigrated from turkey as a child and is a legal u.s. resident. he's known to police. court records show three domestic violence assaults, also according to the "seattle times," the victim was

he was also arrested for drunk driving. >> new hampshire, an officer shot and killed a suspect. the scene is still very active. one person is dead after an officer-involved shooting. in charlotte, north carolina, new video released by police showing the deadly shooting that sparked days of protests. we want to take a moment to warn you that this video might be the eye's diane cho explains the continuing controversy over the police shooting. >> police are releasing this dashcam rah video in the shooting death of keith lamont scott. scott backs away from the s.u.v., but it's not clear in this video if he's holding anything in his hands. seconds later, an officer opened fire. this is a different view of what happened as seen from one of the officer's body cameras. an attorney for scott's family questions whether scott's

>> what we do know is the moment mr. scott is shot, it appears as though he's not aggressively moving towards law enforcement. he's actually doing the opposite. he's passively stepping back. >> police also released these photos of the gun and marijuana they say scott had at the time. authorities say two plainclothes officers were trying to arrest someone else in the area when they saw scott rolling a marijuana blunt in his s.u.v. >> that was the first thing they saw. but that was not the priority. apprehending the suspect. when they see the weapon and they see the marijuana, they say, uh-oh, this is a safety issue for us and the public. we need to address this before we try to serve a warrant. >> police say it wasn't until an officer saw scott, quote, hold a begun up, that they put vests on identifying themselves as police officers. you see in this dashcam video,

the s.u.v. with the gun and backed away ignoring commands to drop it. >> it does not make sense to us how it's possible that this incident resulted in the loss of life. it just does not make sense, and it is not clear in the videos that were released. >> police also say scott's dna and fingerprints are on the loaded gun that was found at the scene. the officer who fired the shots was not wearing a body camera at the time. diane cho, wcvb, newscenter 5. basement of the building at elm hill park at 5:00 this morning. nine people are now without a home this morning. damage is estimated at $750,000. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >> boston police investigating a sexual assault in brighton. a woman says she was attacked after she got into a car she thought belonged to a rideshare service. this happened early saturday morning outside a bar on

customers to always confirm a ride before getting into a car. >> new this morning -- the water is back on in hamilton, but there is a boil water order in place. water service was cut off to the town after a water main break on bridge street. it's unclear what caused the break, but crews worked all day saturday to fix it. we spoke to one resident who says it's the first time he can ever remember this happening. >> about 2:30, i went to wash my hands, and there was no water. so i tried a different sink. and no water. 15 minutes later, a message came on the phone for the town about the broken water main. it's been off ever since. >> the boil water order is in place until further notice. that means you can't drink or cook with the water unless it's boiled. you can use it for bathing. the town has to get water test results back before service is back to normal. >> justice for vanessa marcotte. seven weeks after her murder, the town of princeton is searching for answers. these signs popping up as the murder remains unsolved.

police believe the shooting was a premeditated act of retaliation to a shooting that happened over labor day weekend. >> seven people have been sickened in an e. coli outbreak. it's avs. the -- adams farm slaughterhouse. all products are being produced now safely. police are investigating a motor speedway in loudon. authorities say two men were stabbed in a fight involving four people early yesterday morning. they were taken to the hospital, but it's not clear if any arrests have been made. >> now here's josh brogadir with sportscenter 5. >> your playoff bound boston red sox, a phrase you haven't heard in three years. but after 10 wins in a row, the sox have clinched at least a wildcard spot on their way to an eventual division title. this one wasn't easy, though.

at least six people are injured after a fight in the theater district. police say the fight broke out. the victims were cut or stabbed with a bottle. no arrests have been made. >> a boil water order is now in effect in hamilton. the order issued after a major water main break there. the town says that order will be in effect until tests or results come back in. that means residents cannot drink or cook with t unless it's been boiled first. >> caught on camera. two thieves targeting a sound system that belongs to a veterans charity. norwood police put out this surveillance video. you can see the suspects breaking into a storage area. police say the suspects were driving a white car. the charity is called run for a vet. it was going to use the sound system in an upcoming race to raise money for veterans in need. a major drug bust in andover. police recovered $15,000 worth

detectives arrested joseph morales near campanelli drive. they also found 350 grams of heroin in his car. a second person was arrested for allegedly buying drugs from morals. >> a construction worker is recovering after being rescued from a trench in grafton. he was in a backhoe when it fell down an embankment. a technical rescue team was called in to help get the man out. firefighters said they had to deal with the backhoe before they could get to the victim. >> he was stuckn payload. >> the victim expected to be okay. the cause of that accident still under investigation this morning. officials at a power station in taunton say what was initially thought to be an explosion was a small electrical fire. that fire started in a breaker and caused a small but smoky fire. nobody was hurt. the power station says it was an equipment failure. no customers were affected.

so it's delicious outside right now under sunshine. off to our west, band of showers and some thunderstorms. that's a cold front that is slowly marching toward us. what it's doing right now is bumping into this big area of high pressure which is right over us and all the way down toward the carolinas, giving us a whole lot of sunshine up and down the eastern seaboard. it's supplying us, this region specifically, with quite -- very cool air. temperatures 40's and 50's out earlier this morning. but look at the changes going out toward chicago, st. louis, 60's and 70's. this air mass builds in here ahead of the rain, which will be arifling on tuesday. -- arriving on tuesday. so the rest of today and into tonight, high pressure overhead. tomorrow, nothing but sunshine. as we head into tuesday morning, really monday night and into tuesday, that's when the changes

you're going to notice additional humidity pouring into the house monday night into tuesday morning. also some showers moving in just prior to daybreak, it looks like, from west to east. they may stick around for a good portion of the day, which is great news. while it makes for a headache on the roadways, we'll get much needed rain. great day out there. 40's and 30's tonight which frost advisory, new ones, just issued by the national weather service at the top of the hour. these are in effect from 2:00 tonight to 8:00 tomorrow morning north and west of worcester. and the cranberry bogs. tropical storm karl hauling up toward the north and east and really just causing problems for the shipping lanes at this point.
