>> from boston's news leader, this is wcvb newscenter 5 at noon. erika: we begin with breaking news. three people killed in a fiery crash in westport. a livery vehicle crossing the median on interstate 195. emily: slamming head-on into another vehicle. doug meehan is live at the scene for us. doug: good afternoon. directions east and west along 195 in westport are open. traffic moving freely but that was hardly the case this morning

when the call of a multivehicle crash came in. preliminary investigation by troopers on the scene indicate a livery vehicle traveling westbound in the left travel lane crossed over into the eastbound lane. that vehicle crashed head-on to another car that was traveling east. the two people in the livery vehicle were killed as was one person in the other car. sky 5 over the scene of a shutdown eastbound 195 for hours of the morning surrounding roots including route six were in gridlock. as of this noon come all lanes have been reopened on both sides of 195 including east and westbound exit 10 and 11 open as well. names of the victims have not been released yet as police

emily: thank you. a former priest is facing rape and sexual assault charges. alleged assault took place when michael walsh was an altar boy coordinator at a dorchester church nearly three decades ago. antoinette antonio's life from suffolk superior court. antoinette: emily walsh pleaded not guilty and was released of his own reconnaissance this recognizance. the ledge victim best he does not want some like this to overtime he seven years. a lot of emotions. antoinette: michael walsh's accuser was just a fourth grader when he says the sexual abuse began. the former priest, now charged with two counts of rape of a child and three counts of assault and battery on a child. the allegations go back to the late 1980's and 1990's before walsh became a priest.

coordinator at saint brendan's in dorchester as well as the little league coach. prosecutors say he used those positions to get close to the child, groping, touching and eventually raping him. the now 38-year-old man brought the allegations to police this summer after decades. >> i never thought i would come forward. i thought it would be something i would live with and deal with as i have for code-7 years. i have 10 nieces and nephews and seeing them i would never want some are more victims that this gives them the courage to come forward as well. >> i hope he goes to jail for it. and that this does not happen to anyone else. antoinette: there could be more victims. walsh was defrocked indeed to -- in 2002 after allegations surfaced from his time at charleston church. the da office says that case, those allegations, are unrelated

evening. we go into the overnight. some patches of drizzle start tomorrow and very little change tomorrow. to the north and west there may be brightening tomorrow afternoon but i think those clouds will fill back in as that area of low pressure starts to lift northward as we get toward thursday night, friday and we get toward steadier rain. between now and friday afternoon , heavy rain over the mid-atlantic states and were not going to see much more than drizzle and a few tenths of an inch of windward island. look at this forecast track heading through the caribbean strengthening into hurricane. it's tough to take a turn northward as a large consensus with our community model -- our computer model that this will take a turn to the bahamas. in the meantime, lots of clouds, steadier rain comes in. toward late friday, friday night and saturday you can see it creeping up from the south.
