person is hurt after this crash in revere. police say a car slammed into a child's room at an apartment building around 1:00 this morning on north shore road. that child was not hurt, nor was anybody inside the home. police say this corner is prone to accidents. doug is at that scene and he'll have an update in our next half-hour. >> this man is behind bars, one of two accused in a shootout with boston police that prompted an hourslong search. this morning, both are expected to be before a >> the eyeopener's antoinette antonio is live at the crime scene in roslindale. antoinette? >> investigators say those two 25-year-old suspects opened fire on police during a shootout in the roslindale neighborhood. it started as an undercover police operation. this happened yesterday afternoon during a gun trafficking investigation at a home on newburgh street. police say eric rosado-gonzalez

police. colon was quickly captured within minutes of the shootout. but rosado-gonzalez got away, prompting a massive door-to-door search. he was tracked down on south street. a neighborhood put into lockdown. >> i told my kids to shut down the doors, go to the basement, lock down everything. >> one boston police officer was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but is expected to be both suspects will face assault with intent to murder charges. they are expected to be arraigned later today. we will keep you posted on what happens. we're live in roslindale this morning, antoinette antonio, wcvb newscenter 5. >> thank you. right now, one person is under arrest after a deadly shooting in lawrence. the victim was shot in the basement of a home on boxford street yesterday afternoon. the suspect, 19-year-old isiah tejeda, is expected in court

computer models. this is only one run. things may go the other way again. this is a situation where you need to keep checking in and find out the latest. but the official forecast track from the hurricane center is really reflecting what the models are saying. category three storm right now coming through the bahamas through tomorrow afternoon, strengthening perhaps to a category four. this is going to bring devastating storm surge through the bahamas. the hurricane warnings along the east coast of florida, hurricane watches close to orlando and jacksonville. it may hug the coastline and come close to the carolinas. we're talking about saturday, saturday night. by sunday and monday look where this is. we're up here. looks like matthew will be down here. if this track holds, we will not be getting rain from matthew this weekend. again, that forecast yet not set

south. winds 25 miles per hour. it is headed towards the bahamas. that we know. it's going to parallel the coast of florida on the atlantic side, so the east coast of florida dealing with hurricane warnings this morning. and then notice how it is clustered close to the carolinas through the weekend. from there, notice how the model is keeping this away from southern new england through the weekend. if this happens, there will not be rain from matthew this still a lot to watch here with the track. in the meantime, 30s and 40s. 49 degrees in boston. the skies are mainly clear. cloud cover on the cape, but those will lift out as we've got high pressure overhead. so sunshine today. chilly start, but we make a quick recovery. lower 60s by lunch. but that is where we stay along the coastline with a northeasterly wind.

let's get you to the roads right now. we have trouble out west. >> we're watching an overturned truck. this is in marlborough by 290 on 495 northbound by exit 25. all lanes are closed on the northbound side right now. so plan accordingly. let's get to the maps. the expressway busy by the gas tank. the northbound side. the crash on 495 as you travel noh lanes shut down. in addition, they have closed the off-ramp from 290 eastbound to 495. expect heavy delays in that area. you can see red on the map already building. north of town, another crash 93 southbound in andover. south of there, we're in pretty good shape.

>> good morning. it's 5:44. the eyeopener team ready to go. erika has the overnight reaction to the only vice presidential debate last night. >> we're tracking overnight matthew moves north. the extent of the damage in haiti is still unclear. that storm is headed for the bahamas next, but florida, georgia, the carolinas, they have all declared states of emergency with evacuations getting under way today and cindy has been watching this storm closely. >> absolutely. this is bad news for florida, the bahamas, and into the carolinas. there's been a huge shift in the computer models overnight on the

so big changes for sure. take a look at the computer models. you can see category three storm may strengthen a little bit. it moves to the bahamas, then grazes the florida coast, the carolinas. but from there, look, it does not head north. it actually heads out to sea to our south. that is the cluster and the official forecast reflects that. these are hurricane warnings on the east coast, from miami to west palm hurricane watches closer to the orlando area. this is going to be a bad situation through the bahamas where there could be eight to 12 inches of rain, a storm surge, and strong winds. you can see this strengthens to a category four. tomorrow night and friday it's taking that run up the coast of florida. may stay offshore. this looks like it is going to be a tough situation for the east coast. here you see the official track through columbus day on monday,
