the top of the hour. randy: the drama before the debate. donald trump brought out women who accused former president bill clinton of rape and unwanted sexual advances. that included paula jones, juanita broaddrick and kathleen willey. and trump invited the women to watch the debate. bill clinton never faced any criminal charges. a lawsuit was dismissed. he settled with one woman who claimed donald trump's controversial comments about women coming up in the united states senate race. in new hampshire, both candidates, kelly ayotte and maggie hassan, appeared together in manchester yesterday, never shaking hands. ayotte is one of many republicans who dropped her support after the 2005 video surfaced. the senator saying she favors trump dropping out of the race. >> i cannot vote for donald trump based on what he said in

talks about in those tapes that talk about assault against women. randy: ayotte's democratic rival called the flip-flop political self-preservation. governor hassan says nothing has changed since ayotte last endorsed him. erika: two arrests in the murder of an elderly man in orange. joshua hart and brittany smith were taken in cuss bi. they're held without bail. randy: a 9-year-old girl is recovering after she was caught in some gunfire in boston. the shots were fired around 1:00 sunday morning on annunciation road. police say there was a party at a nearby parking lot before the gunshots erupted. that girl who was at a family gathering was taken to the

the public's help in finding those responsible. they tell "the herald" there is surveillance video that captured the incident. erika: questions after the city of newton's website was hack. the site is back up this morning. newton police are investigating that hack. and breaking overnight, the u.s. navy confirming two missiles were fired toward an american destroyer in the persian gulf. they were fired from territory held by shiite rebels in yemen. the not far from the uss mason. the launch comes after the united arab emirates ship was targeted several days ago in the same region. randy: it is do or die for the red sox and their push for the pennant. the eyeopener's doug meehan is there this morning with what to watch today. doug? doug: hi, randy, good morning. even though it's starting to feel like it, nobody down here for sure is ready for winter. like it or not, the red sox are

randy: lots of flooding rescues down south. this woman and her baby got trapped in the rising flood water in north carolina. rescue teams have been able to bring them to safety. the effects of hurricane matthew expect to last for days. this morning, the storm is moving out to sea. here's a look at some of the damage left behind, the storm claiming nearly two dozen lives in this country, nearly a thousand in haiti. in 13 inches fell. cindy: the amount of rain incredible and some of the moisture from matthew we saw. erika: we sure did. cindy: we needed it. this is all that's left of the moisture. it's moving up into nova scotia moving away. we are saying goodbye to matthew, but look at the rainfall totals it did leave

nantucket. north weymouth, close to 3 inches of rain. quincy, rainfall there close to 2 1/2 inches. hyannis close to 2. wakefield close to 2. the most rain you've seen this entire day in one year in boston. you have to go back to december 30 of last year to find a weather day like yesterday with 1.82 inches of rain. denting the drought for sure. the rain is gone. still some wind out there. in fact, the wind advisory the cape and islands through noontime. gusts 40 to 50 miles an hour. these are sustained winds right now, 10, 15, 20 miles an hour, closer to 30 on the cape. those winds are gusting higher. you can see that right now, a gust of 45 on hyannis. the wind is noticeable. the temperatures themselves are mostly in the 40's right now. when you factor in that wind, it is actually feeling like it's in the 30's. you want to dress for that. 52, though, hyannis. 53 nantucket.

you see the back edge of the clouds. fresh batch of clouds over the western part of the state. high pressure building in today. that's going to be the story the next several days. this will give us sunshine, but gusty winds pretty much all day long. you'll notice that wind. that's are sustained winds over the next 12 hours. in boston they do not let up through the afternoon. despite the sunshine, that wind is going to make it feel cooler. here are yo mid 50's worcester. near 60 boston, north shore, south shore cape. that wind is going to make it feel cooler. through noontime, strongest winds gusting 30 and over 40 miles an hour. gradually toward late this afternoon and this evening, the winds will step down. if you are headed to fenway park, it is going to be clear and chilly for that playoff game. 55 first pitch.
