>> not as cold this morning. >> in the cape, what are you talking about? this is the difference between this morning and 24 hours ago. most of us are warmer than yesterday morning except on the cape where it's about 10 degrees colder. here, temperatures are running mostly in the upper 30s. 35 on the vineyard right now. you contrast that 49 boston, 48 worcester and a lot of lower 40s in north shore, southern new 39 one of the cooler spots in orange. cloud cover has been rotating through this morning. these are mid and high-level cloud. should make for a really nice sunrise in a little while. these cloud are going to be exiting, high pressure in control today. we're watching showers here off to the west. so today we're in great shape, clouds early on will dissipate.

>> right now the suspect in this attack is still on the loose. boston police say it happened around 4:00 a.m. on tuesday morning. a man broke into an apartment by climbing into a window in the area of clarendon and columbus avenue. two people inside were sexually assaulted. boston police got the report nearly 12 hours later from one of the victims at a local hospital. they worked into the night conducting interviews and looking for evidence. the victims were able to give a lid would like anyone with information to come forward. live at boston police headquarters, sera congi, wcvb newscenter 5. >> new this morning, the f.b.i. says a deadly plane crash in connecticut may have been intentional, according to the "new york times." the pilot said it was not an accident. a student pilot died when the plane burst into streams in east hartford yesterday.

corresponds to their gender identity. >> another deadly crash, this man killed a week ago in cambridge. the eyeopener's antoinette antonio is live at that scene where loved ones honor the victim. antoinette? >> dozens of people gathered here last night. they want the safety changes here at the intersection of sommerville and mass avenue. they left this ghost bike in memory of a man they say cautious bike rider. a vigil for dr. bernard "joe" lavins was held here last night. he was hit by a tractor-trailer last wednesday while he was riding his bike to work. friends and colleagues dedicated the ghost bike in his honor and they are now calling for safety improvement. >> his wife really wants us to make some type of change to this intersection so this is not

>> the bicyclists are asking for bike lanes and bike boxes at this busy intersection. the crash is still under investigation, and so far the driver of that tractor-trailer has not been charged. we're live in cambridge morning. antoinette antonio, wcvb newscenter 5. >> right now, a homeless man is facing charges, accused of stealing an ambulance from a hospital yesterday in cambridge. a chase began and ended when that ambulance hit cruiser. the officer in the cruiser was not hurt, but the cruiser was damaged. the homeless man was taken to the hospital. >> a neighborhood is taking action after a convicted level three sex offender is released from prison and now living among families and children there. richard gardner was sentenced to 190 years in prison. but after an appeal, he ended up serving 30 and has been released. after his release, he moved in

sunny day. tomorrow, showers to the west with a frontal boundary. today we've got a lot of sunshine. by 9:00 a.m., lower 50s. lower 60s by lunch. as the winds turn onshow, we'll hold in the low 60s at the coast this afternoon. mid and upper 60s farther inland. cloud from the south overnight. moisture, fog, patchy drizzle. temperatures tonight holding either side of 50 degrees. so not as cold. a milder day moisture with it. at least a couple of showers tomorrow, especially late in the day. we'll time those out for you. notice the morning hours feature drizzle, low clouds, we burn a lot of that off. we may brighten early in the afternoon. a few showers toward the evening hours and then clear out overnight. back to sunshine, but breezy. cooler on friday and looks like a cool start to the weekend, but sunshine expected saturday and
