information from the surviving pilot. the suspect held without bail in the home invasion and assault in the south end. emily: sera congi is live with new details. sera: the arraignment wrapped up a short while ago and we learned new disturbing details about this incident. take a look at the video from inside the courtroom. ronald brown, with a jacket over his head, was allowed to shield his face over concerns of ms. identification. straighter to the victim. he allegedly tied both of them up, raping one of them, threatening to kill them and telling them that he hates chinese people. an incident that rattled nerves in the south end neighborhood. cracks that is terrifying. bethany lived in the same building where a man allegedly broke in and assaulted two people & apartment building.

after one of the victims reported the incident from a local hospital. the suspect got into a rear window and what's inside attacked two people. bethany was questioned by police but does not recall hearing anything out of the ordinary. >> this is usually a really safe neighborhood. people everywhere all times of the day and night. hopefully it is just an isolated incident. >> it's really scary and upsetting. sera: the incident took place on clarendon street near columbus avenue. those who live and work around the neighborhood are unnerved by news of the attack. >> it feels like it is a safe neighborhood and because it's so close to the downtown area it seems like people are always out and about. it would never think about what happened here. sera: according to the police report investigators managed to track brown down because he left a prescription bottle behind. after the hearing his defense attorney says there are significant issues that will

he's being held without bail. erika: thank you. these suspects wanted in a deadly home invasion in orange are prepared to face a judge in virginia. joshua hart and britney smith were arrested saturday on several charges including murder and attempted murder. they will face fugitives from justice charges today and expected to arrive back in massachusetts later tonight. a twist to this emily: deadly plane crash in connecticut a student pilot was killed when the plane burst into flames in east hartford yesterday. as elizabeth hur reports, the pilot who survived claimed it was not an accident. elizabeth: this morning investigators taking pictures and gathering evidence where the pilot who survived this plane crash is now allegedly telling authorities this was no accident. >> a fully involved aircraft on

anything. emily: state of emergency are still in effect in nearly half of north carolina's 100 counties. erika: this image from nasa shows the eye of a powerful typhoon moving through the northwestern pacific ocean. the storm's eyes stretches over 20 nautical miles circle by powerful thunderstorms. it is far from land and is expected to lose steam later this week. we are talking about hurricane cindy: -- we are talking about hurricane matthew. this is hurricane nicole. likely to become a hurricane. it is a category two now. the winds are 100 miles per hour. there are close to bermuda and it looks like this may pass either directly over or just to the west of bermuda. bad news for them. you can see this is forecast to come very close to bermuda.

going to put bermuda on the eastern side of the storm center . that means there will be a storm surge, piling up and pushing of the water on top of the normal tide. in addition to the hurricane force wind and probably about three to five inches of rain, all going to be happening during the day on thursday. it does not lose too much strength but it continues to move north northeast. into the north atlantic, not going to be bothering us on the eastern seaboard but bermuda is bracing for this hurricane. there e the second tough situation. in the meantime we've got another day of this, blue sky, sunshine started out chili. a lot of 40's, some 30's in the suburbs. we have recovered nicely. 60 degrees right now. winds are light. searching for the ham cream, the air -- the hand cream, the air temperature is -- the air has dried out. literacy breeze, the winds on

now. even with clouds tomorrow we will be up in the upper 60's to new 70 degrees and once the front goes by sunshine friday saturday, struggling to get up to 60 degrees. first we will bring in moisture tonight on a southerly wind. by 8:00 a couple clouds around. overnight those clouds fill in. they could be fog and drizzle around tomorrow morning as well. temperatures falling to near 50 degrees overnight. it's going to be in the upper 60's. totten, marshfield, southeastern massachusetts. a mild day tomorrow. showers likely get into or the evening hours but very limited moisture. a lot of it's going to go up into northern new england. 1/10 the village of rain and that is about it. if you have plans tomorrow it's going to start out markey. drizzle around for the morning commute and that dries up by
