officer morris very seriously injured after being shot in the leg. the bullet severed a main artery, and he lost a lot of blood. police commissioner william evans and mayor marty walsh met with the officers and their families today. from his hospital bed, morris wanted to thank a fellow officer who saved his life by putting their hands in the bullet wound and applying a tourniquet right there at the scene. >>e me, i want to thank this particular officer -- he saved my life. he and his father knew how close he was to. shaun: police are thanking everyone, from the doctors and nurses here at mass general, to the red cross, also tufts medical for caring for 9 officers who were treated there for minor injuries and shock. we are told these first 48 hours are crucial to the officer's
