the cause of this crash remains under investigation. nichole: right now an , investigation into a deadly shooting just miles away from u-mass amherst. one man was killed, another wounded when shots were fired at an apartment complex in amherst overnight. police say this was not a random shooting and there is no risk to the public. new tonight, the family of a swimmer who died during lifeguard tryouts in orleans is demanding $100,000 in damages. 22-year-old jack jakubek died during a tryout at pilgrim beach in may. now, his family says the town is liable because lifeguards ignored the college swimming star's signal for help. police say, a lifeguard told them he saw jakubek raise his arms but thought the swimmer was kidding. if the town denies the request, the family could sue. reid: coming up, a homecoming 75 years in the making. the final farewell for new hampshire's sailor who
