>> this is wcvb newscenter 5 at 5:30. ben: breaking news at 5:30, andover police are looking for a man who exposed himself to students at saint augustine elementary school. students were at recess and saw the man standing near his car when it happened. extra police patrols are happening in the area. down for health violations. city inspectors got a tip about the school street location in boston. a spot check found five violations, including meat being kept too war, and fruit flies. the location will reopen once it passes inspection. sweetgreen's boylston street location was forced to temporarily close because of problems there in august. ben: and this is a live picture -- apparently somewhere there is

once it does it is very mild all night long, lots of form letter to the west and close to 80 degrees tomorrow. we will talk about the changes in a little while. ben: a new hampshire woman facing a list of charges after and armed standoff with police while a 12-year-old was in the home. jc: newscenter 5's ed harding is here with the details of the arrest. ed: new hampshire state police say this all began as a call to help a distraught woman. when they arrived in candia, was outside, but the child was still inside. police say they heard a gunshot and began negotiations. the child was then able to run from the home. the child was not hurt. they say the woman fired again, they don't believe she was aiming for anyone. >> thankfully with negotiations with the hostage negotiation team they were able to talk to the individual, have them exit the premises, where they were taken into custody without

suspect as deborah deslongchamps. she faces charges of false imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child. jc: right now falmouth and state police are investigating the discovery of a body in falmouth harbor. the deceased has been identified as charles taylor from san francisco. investigators say it does not appear foul play was involved and that it appears to be an accidental death. ben: firefighters in new hampshire say a fire that burned down a home and business was electrical. they say sparks from a plugged the fire in a motorcycle repair shop burned for hours, fueled by the equipment inside. the family that runs the business also lives in the building. they all got out safely, and are now getting help from the red cross and the community. jc: the mbta is looking toward a future with no cash. the new system would allow credit cards and smart phones to pay fares, but ban cash as an alternative to the electronic payments. commuter rail riders currently have this option. the mbta hopes to speed up daily commutes, saying cash systems

jc: the white house cracking down on safety procedures at hundreds of gas-storage facilities around the country. a new report recommends that operators at those facilities conduct strict risk assessments, backup systems to contain gas leaks. this comes a year after a leaking well near los angeles spewed natural gas for nearly four months, driving thousands from their homes. president obama getting ready for a lavish affair tonight, hosting the italian prime minister and his wife for the final state dinner of his presidency. earlier today, secretary of state john kerry and vice president joe biden welcomed matteo renzi to the state department, saying that relations between the two

ben: hyundai is recalling more than 84,000 cars tonight. the recall covers genesis coupes from the 2010 to 2016 model years. hyundai says a wiring problem can cause the front passenger air bag to malfunction. passengers could be hurt, but hyundai says it has no reports of injuries. dealers will secure the wiring to make sure it stays connected. the recall is expected to start on december 2. jetblue is using the final presidential debate to boost its latest two-day fare sale. the airline is offering 30% off its base fares for travel from october 26 through december 15. the discount is available on each of jetblue's three fare types blue, blue plus and blue

variety of weather within a couple of miles of boston. only six days in boston northward. providence at 80, hartford and 82, a lot of records broken and we still have this problem. we have low clouds and fog north and west of boston. airports, great visibility off to the west and south. the city is looking better and that should be the trend because the warm air will scour out the low clouds -- 58 at logan, with very light, going to the south with the next hour or so and then the temperature takes a jump up.

south end west, downtown and in the mid-70's, 77 right now in norwood, all 70's for the most part. if you look at the wind speed, you can see the southerly wind has stronger speeds than the eastern wind, a sign that the warm air will really go out and once it does it will be mild all night the west. on thursday it will be noticeably cooler. around the region it will be quite mild. we may have clouds for the morning, and if it's a little slow to clear we wouldn't have enough sun but we could still
