it is dry as you head out on sunday afternoon. skies are starting to clear overhead and that rings in the sunshine for later today. temperatures slowly go to the 50's. we still have that storm system, with brought the showers and the gusty wind that night. we do see a likelihood of wind gusts over 35 miles an hour and we are already seeing that there. a brightening sky in the upper 40's after dropping into the mid-40's overnight. it is because of the wind that we have the wind chill factor. the field like is in the upper 30's to lower 40's. antoinette: investigators are trying to unravel the mystery surrounding the disappearance of a nashua teenager. todd: clues suggest this

-- thee couple boarded more than an hour and 45 minutes early through a jetway door that was left unopened overnight. the plane was searched and passengers moved to another plane. it is unclear how the plane was left unsecured. antoinette: people in worcester are still cleaning up after friday night's torrential downpours. the heavy rains dumped more than 5 inches of rain on the city in just a few hours. drainage systems backed up in several neighborhoods. the city experienced major flooding, as well as power outages and submerged cars. >> because of the drought, we were looking forward to rainfall. we are trying to take stock of where we are at and what the problems are immediately. antoinette: roads made impassible by the flooding have now re-opened. todd: police make an arrest in connection with an attack on a mbta bus driver. the incident happened yesterday on the bus along the burlington

the driver is recovering from minor injuries and is expected to be ok. t police have not revealed the possible motive for the assault. antoinette: this morning, one of the boston police officers shot last week in east boston is out of the hospital. officer matthew morris was discharged from mgh yesterday. bpd says he's continuing treatment for his injuries at the other officer injured richard cintolo was released from the hospital last week. the suspect in the shootout on gladstone street was killed. todd: right now we're learning more about the workers killed in a trench collapse in boston's south end. the two men trapped after a pipe burst friday and the trench filled with water. this morning, a memorial is growing for 47-year-old robert higgins and 53-year-old kelvin mattocks. the two worked for atlantic drain in roslindale. higgins's aunt says he was a kind and gentle person who was dedicated to his job. >> his death was tragic. it should not have happened. todd: 5 investigates uncovered previous safety issues with atlantic drain services. the company was cited for 8

officials said dartmouth street from warren to tremont streets is expected to be closed for several days during an investigation into the incident. antoinette: right now there's a murder investigation on cape cod, after a double stabbing. it happened early saturday morning at a house on beth lane in hyannis. police say when first-responders arrived they found two men suffering from stab wounds. 26-year-old thomas russell was pronounced dead at the scene. the other victim is hospitalized in critical condition. one person was taken into custody on a probation violation. this man arrested and charged with dui after police say he crashed into a east bridgewater police cruiser. the officer inside did suffer serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. it happened saturday on route 18. 24-year-old ryan macaluso of burlington will face a judge tomorrow. todd: new details this morning surrounding the death of a

apparently crashed into the back of a parked tow truck. he was found by police late thursday, unconscious and suffering from serious injuries. police say the tow truck was parked in the bike lane on southbridge street. the crash is still under investigation. antoinette: today residents in a barrington, rhode island neighborhood will walk in a yoga pants parade. the parade was planned in reaction to a recent newspaper editorial. it in the man says he's seen enough asking women to put away the yoga pants. hundred plan to take part in the parade that will march by the writer's home. the parade is scheduled to kick off at two. todd: and the weather should cooperate. antoinette: the population of a seasonal pest on the rise. todd: the caterpillars making people itch and what experts say may be to blame population explosion. a mega media deal just steps away from closing.

todd: an all day cleanup for many after flash floodin n newmarket saw as much as three inches of rain. police shutdown a section of main street for hours because of the heavy flooding, nearly 2 feet of water pooled in one area casing problems for people living nearby. >> they were coming through the floor, and flooding up to our ankles. it was over the tires and people

>> one girl did not get into her apartment. todd: the high water also damaged several cars parked on the street. the heavy rain also flooded streets in portland, maine. the portland jetport reported nearly 4 inches of rain after friday night's downpour. no serious damage has been reported and most of the water has already receded. antoinette: a population explosion in maine for a seasonal pest brown tail moth caterpillers, are not only are they eating every leaf in t making people itch. their tiny, poisonous hairs can cause a rash much like poison ivy. they are being blamed for defoliating about 63,000 trees this fall, that's significantly more than last year. the dry weather may be to blame. todd: take a look at this photo. a wet and rainy day for many of us yesterday but a few areas saw snow. these pictures from the national weather service show the flakes

tomorrow afternoon, we are clearing out as the sunshine pushes in from the west tomorrow. temperatures are looking to tie that in the 50's. even out toward the cape as well. it will feel cooler. wind chill is a huge factor am i making the temperatures feel more like the lower 50's to the upper 40's in the afternoon. even as we entered tuesday, we still have the influence of that huge -- that will lot in place not only the gusty wind but the cool conditions as well. near freezing temperatures. notice as we move toward the late portion of the work week, we inch back toward the upper 50's. the price to pay for the warm-up will be a chance of showers

the strikes come just hours after a 72-hour cease-fire expired. the attacks targeted military buildings belonging to rebels fighting the internationally recognized government. no word right now on and injuries or damage. todd: protests over the construction of the dakota access oil pipeline lead to arrests in north dakota. police say tensions escalated when they tried to move the 300 demonstrators off private property. sheriff's deputies used pepper spray to break up the crowd. more than 80 people are facing charges. >> bears on ice, trying to finally be the canadians at home and when the third straight game of role. he did not dress for the game and the day today faced 29 shots and here is one of them they cannot stop.

16-year-old jacob goulet was last seen walking to a friend's house during friday's storm. he was caught on surveillance camera near that area and some of his belongs were also found nearby. antoinette: neighbors in worcester are still mopping up after this weekend's flooding rain. the storm dumped more than 4 inches of rain on the city friday. several cars and basements were flooded from the high water that raced through the streets. a new poll a double-digit lead over donald trump. the abc tracking poll shows clinton with 50% to trump's 38%. the results are a dramatic shift from the polls released two weeks ago. clinton is beating trump by 20 points. todd: getting back on message.

he pleaded not guilty to committing an unnatural act. five on the opioid crisis, cities and towns across new england taking part in drug take back days. lynn, peabody, and saugus among those participating this weekend. in april massachusetts disposed of more than 25,000 drugs over 4 hours. boxes of prescription drugs were also collected across new hampshire. police say the effort helps to reduce the risk of prescriptions medicines being mishandled. todd: a scare at a new hampshire walmart. the nashua bomb squad was called to the store in hudson after someone reported a suspicious package in the parking lot. customers had to stay inside the store as police checked out the box. it turned out to be an old propane tank inside of a cardboard box. the box was taped and placed upside down in a shopping carriage. >> we will take a look at it and
