there is some snow showers right now for the next 36 hours, it is the chilly weather that we are dealing with chicken of the tomorrow morning. we are down to 40 in boston, 34 in worcester, 29 in orange, 30 in keene. it is a cold night out there. it has been breezy. the winds ease some but we have a wind chill of 24 degrees in worcester. boston will stay above freezing but will be down and the 30's but other areas are colder than that. a freeze warning is in effect for most of eastern massachusetts that has not already had a freeze. the one exception is along the shore road and in boston itself but elsewhere, you do not have the freeze warning because you have had one or more freezes. we have this storm in the upper midwest that will slide east, it is going to bring a significant amount of precipitation to new england. i will have the timeline and show you which areas will be

that story coming up in just a few minutes. maria: thank you. this chain reaction wreck in waltham has a woman battling serious injuries. police say a 66-year-old woman was walking between two cars. that car was rear-ended and slammed into the other, trapping the woman. a mother and child were in the jeep that caused the crash. they both suffered minor injuries. police have not announced any charges. state police have identified the driver in the deadly wrong-way crash on 495 in middleborough. records show valantein buro has and her license was briefly suspended back in january. police say she slammed head-on into a car with 4 college students inside. they hope toxicology tests could help determine what happened. ed: a 25-year-old accused of murdering his own father being held without bail after facing a judge today. prosecutors say alex anderson admits to killing his father in a violent attack, stabbing him in the face, beating him with a hammer and throwing him down the stairs. paul anderson did take out a

my not quite as windy as it was. we have an expensive -- an expanse of relatively clear skies. this is out in the upper midwest and it will be moving east right across the region late thursday and thursday night and first thing friday. i expect us to get a good thrust of moisture. we still do need that. that will come in handy. before we get to that high pressure in for control through tomorrow night. the clouds will be increasing during thursday. it will for the morning commute. by the evening commute, i expect rain commencing here in boston which means the farther west you are, the earlier it will get going. also my the father west like baby from the worcester heels especially to the berkshires, cold enough early on to produce a band of snow. that is what is being depicted as we get into early to mid afternoon thursday. that is snow out in the berkshires and the snow will continue therefore couple of

mountains, the white mountains pick up a few inches of snow. when the still -- storm intensifies, we will be getting heavy rain and they are going to be getting snow and it will snow hard for a good chunk of time. i expect depreciable snowfall in the mountains of maine. we want to give you an idea of how this may map out. you can see snow for the berkshires, the could get a couple of inches on the grassy surfaces and the mountains of vermont. look at that enhancement of the snow in the mountains of maine and northern new hampshire where there could be a good six to 12 inch band. sizable snow. you want to do some skiing we up north, head up to maine, you will have some of their in this ski areas of northern and western maine. let's check it out over the next 70's, your story is a cold start, 20's and low 30's and
