the outside corporate interests bankrolling question two
11:15 pm
's the truth: every time a new charter school opens, it drains money from the existing public schools. that's 400 million just last year - according to the state's own data. which means real cuts to our kids - in arts, technology, ap classes, pre-school, bus service and more. that's why question two's opposed by the massachusetts pta and school committees all across the state.
11:16 pm
florida. a tiger drags one of its trainers across its enclosure, while the other trainer desperately tries to stop the huge cat. this all unfolding in front of horrified children at the pensacola interstate fair. it was a show for elementary school students that got out of control, when the trainer lost her footing in front of the two-year-old bengal tiger. witnesses held their breath as she tried to fight the animal off. then, her partner and fiance ran parents rushed to cover their children's eyes, as the woman was dragged like a doll. >> i turned around and told all five of my kids, turn around and walk. maria: the woman was eventually freed from the tiger's jaws. she required surgery but will recover. some animal rights activists are outraged by the way the trainers reacted. they're calling for a federal investigation into the beating

maria: your help tonight. how your babies will benefit and parents. researchers say testing kids as young as one for hereditary disorder that causes high cholesterol could help identify people who are at risk of heart disease later in life. they identify kids whose parents may have the same problem and not know it. ed: how much weather are we look maria: keep stretching. this is tv. meteorologist: new computer model coming in to see if there is a time frame difference on when it moves in and which areas get snow. look at early this morning. let's talk about weather. it was cold.
11:18 pm
a little above freezing in boston. we are certainly cold again tonight. we made it to 49 for a high in boston. it did touch 50 in hartford, providence and plymouth earlier today. 39 in boston now. 14 miles per hour winds. the windchill of 31 and even though it is not as freezing, it feels like it is just as cold. this is the way it will go overnight tonight. some coastal areas if they can stay mainly clear and avoid the ocean clouds which will lurk near the shoreline would be cold enough to have the frost and the freeze warnings also in effect for interior south mass, rhode island. the only reason it is not in effect is you had one or more freezes and a frost. tomorrow's high temperatures,
11:19 pm
the end of the day or during tomorrow night when the temperature may actually rise some as it is raining, but the early part of the day will be cold. that is why western massachusetts, that is where you may run into that strip of snow and the warming effect of the ocean. late in the day, it is only 37 and earlier in the day, it is freezing and below. there could be snow. all right. see the clouds wind up offshore northeast. the clouds will come on the shoreline and temperatures dropping more. this is the system we're talking about and going to intensify as it moves across the area. so we lose high pressure they the storm will make the move. but initially, especially in western mass, it will be with cold enough to support a period of snow. by the time it gets here, which won't be until during the afternoon, maybe the evening commute around boston, then, we have a milder ocean wind and
11:20 pm
mild snow. straight rain here in boston. we may get heavier rain during tomorrow night, overnight tomorrow night. now a closer look at what i am talking about. clouds come in the morning. look. there could be some sunshine for an hour or two during the morning before the thicker clouds come from the west. then, here is the strip of snow into western connecticut near the berkshires around lunchtime and early afternoon. it could snow for several hours in the higher elevations of the berkshires and maybe the northwest hills of worcester and new hampshire. it will flip the rain. we will get rain, some heavier bands of rain overnight friday night and thursday night and during friday, leftover clouds and few showers but the heavy rain, that will be overnight on thursday night. so for the snowfall, there could be an inch or two in the berkshires. the real jackpot for snow, though, in the mountains especially the mountains of maine.
11:21 pm
to 12-inch dumping. we should get an inch or more of rain out of the whole deal. all right. here is a look at the next seven days for you. one other thing i want to point out, the winds will pick up along the coast later tomorrow and tomorrow night and on friday with the strongest winds on the cape. a little bit milder on saturday. could have a shower late day or night. sunday is tricky. i see cold front could come through.
11:22 pm
massachusetts has many great public schools, and we took it for granted but some kids aren't so lucky. where they live, they don't go to a great school, and they have no choice. imagine if your kids were trapped in a failing school. public charter schools give parents a choice and are a pathway to success for these kids. if you like your school, question 2 won't affect you. but question 2 will change the future for thousands of kids who need your help. please join me and vote yes on question 2.
