we have a picture of the car. there it is. this new hampshire license plate , this is a possible abduction that happened at the ecco on delta drive in londonderry. if you've seen the car or rosario give police a call. maria: also breaking, this man richard herrera is under arrest after police say a woman in barnstable caught him robbing her house. she was just coming home when she saw him leaving. she tried to stop him trying to grab his keys but he drove away grazing her. she was not hurt and police caught up with him a few minutes later.

looking into what went right and what went wrong on the orange line yesterday. as smoke filled cars, passengers jumped out windows. newscenter 5's david bienick is live outside the back bay station with the latest on the investigation. reporter: the mbta says the operator who was at the controls here yesterday followed all the rules, except one. and for that he will receive additional training. reporter: service is act up and running on the or day after a motor on one of the trains overheated, started spewing smoke, and forced passengers to break windows to escape. >> i'm relieved no one was seriously hurt area -- hurt. reporter: the mbta says the operator of the train did not open the doors because the first of six cars was already pulled out of the station and stopped over a third rail surging with 600 volts of electricity. the mbta says the operator did the right thing, by moving passengers from the first car into the second.

live in the back gate, newscenter 5. maria: earlier tonight, a tough audit for a state run home for veterans in chelsea. some disturbing conditions found for these veterans. and 5 investigates took a look as well, and karen anderson joins us now. reporter: we were invited into the chelsea soldiers home by a veteran who lives there and is upset about the conditions. inside we found what appeared to be mold, an expired elevator inspection, out of order washing machines, anen maintenance. the state auditor discovered even more problems. her review from 2013 to 2015, now being released, found unsafe and unsanitary living conditions at the home. including evidence of leaking water or sewage over a food prep area rodent droppings . inside residents rooms they found dangerous clutter overloaded electrical outlets. and even what appears to be

greens program. reporter: root vegetables just perfect this time of year. at lindentree farm in lincoln this healthy harvest is for the homeless. thanks to the food rescue organization food for free, for decades the yield from a quarter acre dubbed the field of greens has been donated to those in need. in massachusetts alone, 1 in 9 people struggle with food insecurity. reporter: boston's pine street inn. their van loaded and a fast 20 miles away, unloaded. to be served here same day. executive chef frank van overbeeke has been enjoying these deliveries. >> the only fresh produce and fruit that we would get on a normal basis is product that's rescued from the grocery store which is great but that's not alot. reporter: food for free has
