commuter safety. they have been working overnight and over the last two days to get the toll plaza ready for the commute this morning. police are warning drivers they should leave early, delay their commute, or even change their commute. the end goal is to end >> the long-term benefit of this project is to improve air quality, improve congestion and safety. when there's backups, there's likelihood of crashes and that adds to congestion. sera: the toll booth demolition is expected to be completed on november 22. that 15 mile per hour speed limit will be in place until then. we will be driving the pike all

we are talking about a huge stretch of highway impacted by this. emily: a pedestrian hit by an suv in quincy. this was the scene at east squantum and hancock street. the victim was taken to the hospital an accident reconstruction team stayed on the scene for much of the night. no word on any charges. right now, a driver is facing hit and run in salem. three people hurt two of them children. the eyeopener's antoinette antonio is live at the scene with the new details. antoinette: that driver is expected in court later today. we await word on just how serious the injuries are to those three victims. it happened around 8:00 last

and bridge. a lot of people will -- were out and there was rain. police arrested 52-year-old dexter mitchell about 2 hours later. one young girl was taken to mass general hospital the other child and woman were taken to salem hospital. the extent of the injuries still unclear this morning. emily: a warning for students at boston college after a report of a sexual assault. state police say a student was attacked while she walked on , avenue -- walked on comm avenue around 2:30 yesterday morning. the victim tells investigators she was grabbed by a man who followed her to the area near chestnut hill avenue. she was able to get away. so far, no arrests.

this is new video of an attack at a new orleans airport terminal last year. kevin white is seen on surveillance charging at a tsa agent with a machete. this happened in march of 2015 the video just now being publicly released. white was shot and killed by police. nobody else was seriously hurt. an internet attack is blamed for flooding 911 call centers with fake calls. and investigators are warning that the attack is spreading across the country. operators w their phones began to ring off the hook and that it was impossible to keep up. but there was no emergency the calls were a hoax caused by a hack. the hack took over people's phones when they clicked on a link spread through twitter. users then lost control of their phones. the only way to stop the hack is to turn your phone off.

man is under arrest accused of , data service interference. emily: your economy this monday morning, we're expected to learn more details this morning about a multi billion dollar deal between general electric and baker hughes. the roughly 30 billion dollar agreement would combine ge's oil and gas businesses with baker hughes, and spin it off as a publicly traded company. the deal also helps g.e. cut costs, allowing them to better compete with rivals. the state's new commission on daily online fantasy sports will hold its first meeting today. the commission was created as a part of this summer's economic development law. the group will look into online gaming issues and complete a report by next july. the state's treasurer and lottery commission chair also plans to file legislation allowing the lottery to offer online gaming but that's not expected to be part of today's meeting. randy: a check of the markets, asian shares were mostly lower overnight as the fbi's probe into emails possibly related to
