beverly, even worcester is in the upper 40s. we've got lower 50s on cape cod this morning. so a mild start out the door. but notice there are some clouds around. should be a pretty sunrise after 7:00 a.m. clouds, but we're dry. showers to the north. this is pushing in really warm temperatures. 60s to our south and west. we'll see the temperatures climb quickly this morning. by lunchtime, it is around 60 degrees. clouds thinning out for brighter skies. temperatures mid-to-upper 60s. good 15 degrees above average for this time of year. some areas could make a run towards 70. we'll get rain in here. that timeline on the showers returning tomorrow, coming up in a bit. let's get you to the roads. good morning, olessa. >> good morning, everyone. live look at the pike. allston/brighton eastbound

one accident in the final stages on 93 south by route 28. one car involved. it's just about out of there. as you travel the pike, so far no problems. 128 looks good. construction cleared by highland avenue. the road work picked up on 128 by route 2a. so far, bridges tunnels and trains starting on schedule. >> questions surrounding the death of a woman whose apartment complex. >> police know who that woman is and the eyeopener's doug meehan is in lawrence tracking the overnight developments. >> randy, emily, good morning. investigators have identified that woman late last night. but they are not releasing her name until they notify the family. the body of the woman discovered yesterday outside the back entrance to the apartments on hampshire street, jorge quiroga gave the description of the victim to a man.

jorge his sister had been missing the entire day. according to the brother, the car you see there being towed from the scene belonged to his sister. police believe the victim died between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. yesterday. police are calling the death suspicious. foul play has not been ruled out. they are asking if anybody has information, to give lawrence police a call. we're live in lawrence this morning. doug meehan, wcvb newscenter 5. >> doug, thank you. right now two people are fighting for their lives after being hit by a truck let's get you to the scene. eyeopener's sera congi is there this morning with what we know. >> randy, those two victims are friends and they were visiting the woburn area near city hall when they were hit. woburn police say this happened around 7:00 last night on common street. 67-year-old woman and 71-year-old man hit by a septic tank truck. both remain in the hospital with critical injuries.

happened just before the crash. >> they were here for a social visit, to visit people. they had errands to run. they were attempting to get the bus that leaves from the front of city hall. they are crossing in the crosswalk in an effort to catch the bus. >> the driver did stay on the scene and is cooperating with investigators. police are now looking at surveillance video from the area which likely captured that crash. sera congi, wcvb newscenter 5. >> to westford where work will start today to get train cars back on the track. there was a derailment last night. we have new video from the scene. this is the area of broadway and graniteville street. no one was hurt. the fire department tells us there are no concerns about any environmental hazards and no word on what may have caused the train to derail.

and it's going to be a partly sunny day. 50s this morning. that is way above average for this time of year. high temperatures this time of year average in the mid 50s. we're going to be in the mid-to-upper 60s today, still a good 10 degrees above average tomorrow and then a sharp drop coming up on friday and into the weekend. that's why i say don't put that winter gear too far away. you can see the warmth is coming from the south and west where it's in the associated with clouds. there are showers to our north across the state of maine. those aren't bothering us. we're going to wait for a cold front way back here in the midwest to come through during the later part of tomorrow, and that is when we'll get in on rainfall. so today is dry, tonight is dry. can't rule out a stray shower into tomorrow morning. but the bulk of the rain comes tomorrow afternoon and during the evening. today, clouds early on, a southwesterly wind, skies

>> a louisiana man rescued after sending her daughter to school with a note for the teacher. the note said that she was being held against her will. the school called the sheriff's department. police freed the woman who was held hostage by a wanted man. the suspect is behind bars. the mother and child have been reunited. >> caught on camera. a bus careens into a house in san antonio, texas. investigators have been able to review several angles of the crash on surveillance video. the bus was sideswiped by a truck before ending up inside the house. the driver, though, was able to walk off the bus. the truckdriver stayed at the scene, but a passenger ran off before police arrived. >> quite the heavy mess, but they are working to clear the entrance of yosemite national park after a rock slide blocked the entrance. the bolder slipped monday onto the road and since then they have been blasting the rock to try to break them up and get
