cold as it was yesterday morning. in fact, we're 50 in worcester. 49 in boston. and some 30s on the cape where the clouds are slowly moving in, and there is a front off to the west, and this is going to bring in showers, and as it moves through today, and they are few and far between off to the west. so dry for that morning commute, notice the showers off to the west. and as we get towards mid-day, a lot of these fall apart but can't rule out a spot shower at lunchtime, and better chance of a few showers for the ride home. coming up this evening, now the temperatures start out so 60 degrees this afternoon. lunch hour temperatures are in the upper 50s, and topping out pretty close to 60 degrees in most areas today but that all changes as we head towards the end of the week and the weekend. big drop in the temperatures on the way. more on that just ahead. >> the forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. >> it's being called one of the biggest presidential upsets in

showers coming in, so a good idea to have the umbrella with you. and with the bolt of weather, comes during the afternoon and into the early evening hours so dry out there this morning, and rainfall amounts are not going to be all that impressive at all, most areas walk away with under a tenth of an inch of rain, and a better chance of seeing a tenth of an inch in southeastern massachusetts. the storm itself, just starting to get going, and you can see this, this is a wave of low pressure developing along a frontal boundary, and this is going to focus a lot of the moisture near th going to track just along and south of southern new england, so we're not going to see too much wet weather north and west of boston, a lot of these showers off to the west are going to fall apart but we have the clouds overhead, and that is a bit of a blanket so it's not nearly as cold this morning as you are heading out as yesterday morning at this time. not seeing the 20s on the map right now, and 49 in boston, lower 40s on the north shore, and mid and upper 30s on cape cod. temperatures will keep climbing

cloudy skies, can't rule out a spot shower but look at that, we'll top out at 50 degrees before the sunsets. so the highs, lower 60s here in southeastern massachusetts, otherwise mid and upper 50s, going for 59 in boston today, and so through the morning commute, dry weather is expected, and by lunchtime, the showers that approach fall apart but a couple of showers around mid-day, and into the afternoon, that evening commute, will focus the weather, especially from boston on south, and a the cape by 8:00 this evening, and exits pretty quickly, clearing skies behind it, and we'll bring in colder weather for tomorrow morning out the door, a lot of 30s, come upper 20s in the coldest suburbs, but the high pressure noses in, so it's back to sunshine tomorrow, what we are watching for friday, veteran's day, is this front, and this is antarctic front, going to bring in colder weather for the weekend but as that drops through, clouds increase during the afternoon, and look at the winds picking up here on veteran's day, so it's an impact

boy, the markets plummeted after the results were coming in. what do you make of that? >> i've been watching them all night, and the japanese index was down 5%, our dow futures are down 8% at 2:00 in the morning, but they backed up, and now they are down 300 points, and i think that came as a result of the conciliatory speech that donald trump made. i was impressed by that, and that seems to be having a calming effect on the markets to a degree, anyway. >> so we are seeing the and what about the average investor? what does that person take away from the volatility? >> i think that you should anticipate that when you look at things like your frowk or your broke your irss they could go down, heck, they could go down 2% or 3% today or more than that. it's hard to tell, investors had clearly anticipated that hillary clinton was going to win this election, and as a result that's why you are having a lot of foreign markets sell off.

emily: so bottom line if you are an average investor there can be volatility when there is change. and what should the average investor be thinking this morning? >> you know, there is -- some will look at this as a buying opportunity. others will say that this is going to head into a long-term correction, and i think that ultimately this will be a positive thing. donald trump's economic policies in terms of the tax policies, and domestic policies are very growth oriented, tax rates are going to go down, corporate tax rates are going to go down, and the thing that scares the markets today is not expect this. the stock market amended to hillary clinton, a victory, and perhaps a senate that was controlled by the democrats, so this is a curve ball. secondly, you look at the markets, and they are waiting to see if donald trump backs off on some of his trade policy. if he becomes more conciliatory on trade, you are looking at what could be a 4% and 5% gdp

spot shower through lunchtime, and as we get into the afternoon, showers become a bit more widespread with the sunset, and at 4:27, temperatures sneak up on either side of 60 today, so fairly mild, and here's a timeline on the rain, and you can see towards lunchtime, a lot of it falls apart but a couple of spot showers around, a bit more widespread here by 5:00 so there will likely be some wet weather around and it all shifts towards the cape by 8:00 with clearing skies overnight. and the temperatures o in the 30s out the door, and the high pressure noses in tomorrow, so it's back to sunshine, and watching this front to the north this is going to drop on friday, and with cloud cover but a whole lot of wind, and it is an impact weather day because look how strong the winds get gusting over 30 miles per hour, of course, veteran's day on friday, and so any outdoor activities will be impacted and they are bringing in the cold, low 40s despite the sunshine on saturday, and wirls probably don't get out of the 30s all day long.
