-- marking off the area. police came here before noon today. the circumstances surrounding the child's death is not clear. they saw at least one ambulance here this afternoon. police are still investigating to see what caused this death. investigators are on their way here to this home right now. the second victim in last month's home invasion has died. she and her husband were attacked inside of their home. a couple was looking to steal money. harley was stabbed to death. they are both behind bars charged in their death.

begun. president obama welcomed president-elect donald trump to the white house today. the pair met for longer than expected. ben: and then mr. trump met with leaders in congress. newscenter 5's nichole berlie joins us how did it go? reporter: there's been much back and forth between president obama and president-elect trump. obama accusing trump of not being fit to control the nuclear codes, trump accusing obama of being born in another country. but, today, the two finally met face-to-face. >> reporter: president-elect donald trump and his wife melania in dc this morning, for a series of important meetings. first up, a much-anticipated meet up with president obama. both men had blasted each other on the campaign trail. >> we had never met each other. i have great respect. the meeting lasted for almost an hour and a half. and it could have, as far as i'm concerned it could have gone on for a lot longer. reporter: the current president, and president-elect discussing

he grabbed the 14-year-old just down busy puritan road threw her to the ground and tried to strangle her. police are still looking for the male suspect who grabbed, the victim, a 14-year-old girl walking just before 7am to the school bus stop on puritan road. >> when he knocked her to the ground then fled a witness interuppted reporter: bourne police are patrolling the area and parents both surprised and concerned. >> i was aware of what happened. escort my daughter off of the bus today. >> it was an assault and battery. there is no in detention of what he was intending. reporter: the bourne high schooler was not injured and made it to school, grateful her attacker was interuppted when someone is came by.

charges against her could come next month. jc: a man and woman from connecticut are in state custody after a stabbing, two carjackings and a chase. it all started in putnam, connecticut and eventually ended in mass. police say the pair carjacked a vehicle in connecticut crashed that car then allegedly stabbed two people in a second car in thompson connecticut. they were eventually captured in a cul-de-sac in worcester. newscenter 5's maria stephanos joins us with more, maria? >> one of the victims is now talking exclusively to newscenter 5. 58-year-old ann mccoy tells us she was riding in the car in thompson with her daughter barbara, when the suspects flagged her down. the woman was crying and asking her to call for help. then the man, identified as 21-year-old christopher harding, allegedly tried to force his way

in, yells at me ill stab you getg out of the car. i kick him in the face, trying to loosen the grip if you will. and he stabs me in the leg and then in the arm, at which point i could feel the shots and the arm not being useful anymore. reporter: mccoy tells us her daughter was also stabbed. the suspects stole the car and sped away. anne is now in the hospital her daughter barbara was also hoal released. police tell us the investigation into this incident is still on-going. ben: -- jc: several activists arrested today after blocking the entrance to this td bank in boston. we're told they were protesting the bank's funding of the dakota access pipeline. police say the two men and two women used bike chains to lock themselves together before locking themselves to the main entryway of the bank.

anchor: eversource is urging customers to beware of scams and report any fraudulent activity. the energy company says they've had several complaints of people impersonating employees. eversource says they were actually salespeople for competitive suppliers claiming to offerdiscounted power, or threatening to turn off electricity until a payment is made. the company says its employees would never ask for immediate payment, or ask to see a copy of your bill. college students could face disciplinary action after showing their support for donald trump on the campus of wellesley college. wellesley is hillary clinton's alma mater. newscenter 5's shaun chaiyabhat is live in wellesley tonight shaun, what is it these two guys allegedly did? reporter: students here at this all women's college are right now feeling very uneasy. two young men came here to this campus a day after the election

screaming at and spitting out women and minorities. from election night, to postelection letdown, -- >> they had trucks with flags flying. reporter: witnesses say two men in a pickup sped through the historic women's campus, antagonizing women, spitting at them, and yelling sexist slurs. many who supported alum hillary clinton. >> the fact that people thought it would be ok to come on to our campus and target specific groups of people purely because we have a new president-elect, i think that it is why it is scary. reporter: the men, from nearby babson college, sparked more than 40 bias incident reports. the dean saying the timing and location of this incident also matter because it occurred near wellesley's harambee house and at secretary clinton's alma mater harambee house, a place for students of color. dean lawrence ward going on to call their actions racially

anchor: the man accused of setting off bombs in new york and new jersey appeared in court. he did not enter a plea when he facing josh. rahimi is accused of planting two pressure cooker bombs in new york city in september one exploded, injuring 30 people. he's also suspected of detonating a pipe bomb along a marine corps charity race route in new jersey no one was hurt there.

officer, shot to death responding to a domestic dispute. flowers being left at a growing memorial in canonsburg, which is just south of pittsburgh, officer scott bashioum, a seven year veteran of the force, and a father of four was killed in an ambush by the gunman. a second officer was wounded. the gunman, who had a history of domestic violence, was later found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. a woman, described as the gunman's girlfriend, was also found dead. jc: will soon be looking at whether to increase the tax on just-approved recreational marijuana sales. on wcvb's on the record, senate president stanley rosenberg details how expensive implementation will be. >> we need to know how much it is going to cost, then we have to think about public safety and public health. addiction and prevention and
