they have been taking pictures. they have a 911 call from this address, a man, woman and baby were all unresponsive. they were taken to the hospital. that is where the infant died area police are looking into what caused the death. neighbors are disturbed by the news. >> unnervingyo looks like. it was a sense of community that was shaken. >> this is video of detectives continuing their investigation. no word on the condition of those adults taken to the hospital. ed: sky 5 is in the air. we are live over boston.

-- when they saw an accident. >> he started attacking my daughter. >> my daughter was driving. she was holding on to the door handle being dragged by the car. reporter: he told her to get out of the car or he would stabbed her. >> i was kicking madly. he said i'm going to stab you. i think he got me in the leg. troopers identified the suspect as christopher harding. the suspects stole a car then crashed it when they came across their daughter. >> a trooper spotted the stolen suv in massachusetts and followed it into auburn. the suspect tried to ram cruisers at that location before

authorities say the suspect crashed. >> i did not see the car coming. >> she is lucky she knows karate and was able to fight the suspect. harding is facing charges related to the chase. anchor: the second victim in last month's home passed away. joanna fisher dying early this morning. she and her husband were attacked in their home on east river street. the couple were looking to steal their money and their car. britney smith and joshua hart both behind bars. ed: they caught a man posing as

something more in a fairy us. -- nefarious. prosecutors say he showed up at a couple's home dressed in black. the couple got suspicious and that is when they called police. >> that is what they said alerted them to the fact that it was strange. why would an fbi person asked to use the bathroom? him, and then they found a loaded revolver, a ski mask and rope. they also found posted notes of four people with ties to m.i.t.. maria: how could a drawbridge operator on the north shore get paid more than the governor? our reporter found that is happening and explains the state

>> the bridge and gloucester, one of the biggest drawbridges on the east coast. a captain calls for passage. the bridge operator strolls out of this trailer and empathy safety gate down. and opens the bridge for the boats below. he closes the bridge, makes note of the vessels passing through and had back inside. workplace complete with a futon for resting. it is a stay contracted job that pays between 25 -- 75 and $125 an hour. it's a bigger paycheck than the governor of our state.

that rate. they worked on the bridge for a deca before they were laid off last year. >> you hear somebody is getting paid $75 an hour. what went through your mind? >> what is wrong with this picture? reporter: t increase in pay kicked in when the state began maintenance on the bridge. that public contract triggered the prevailing wage requires workers be paid a wage found in existing union contracts. that rate is usually higher than the going rate in the market. reporter: 30's to states have prevailing wage loss. one of only four states in the country that says the prevailing wage.

greg sullivan is the research director for the government accountability group. >> it doesn't make any sense. the whole prevailing wage determination should be overhauled. reporter: the union contract required electricians be operating at that higher rate. ed: polic girl this morning as she walked to her bus stop. police are patrolling the area. the 14-year-old was grabbed from behind, thrown to the ground and nearly strangled just before 7 am. a witness called the girl's name interrupting the attack. that's when the attacker ran off hopping into an older blue or grey sedan with dark windows and dark rims. maria: demonstrators arrested outside a local bank.

police are investigating the death of an infant found inside of a home. also, too unresponsive adults. police are looking into a possible overdose. the 19-year-old man, the 20-year-old woman, that baby was pronounced dead at the hospital. ed: several activists are under arrest after blocking the access to a bank. from the bank by police this morning. we're told they were protesting the bank's funding of the dakota access pipeline. police say the two men and two women used bike chains to lock themselves together before locking themselves to the main entryway of the bank. tonight's five for good a local teenager who saw classmates who needed help and answered the call. maria: she's a real inspiration. newscenter 5's erika tarantal shows us how she's making a real difference for kids who don't know where their next meal is

reporter: these bags ease worry. they lift spirits. filling a fundamental need. they're the work of kira andreucci and her team of volunteers at karing 4 kidz. see back when she was 11, kira noticed something really troubling every friday. >> kids were worrying about when they were going to have their next meal. that didn't sit comfortable with me. reporter: so she stood up. her plan pack food for kids in need to take home every week for the weekend. her dad skeptical at fir follow through but not for long. >> she gave up her 11th birthday and asked her family to give money and then she took and used that money to buy food. reporter: that first year, kira and her dad were a two person team. >> she packed every single one herself for the whole year, i just helped her load them up and we brought them to the school. reporter: her school at the time was mckay arts academy. it worked so well there that over time 3 more schools were added. >> so that is 199 kids.

>> principal lourdes ramirez says karing 4 kidz has never said no to a hungry child. recipients are identified by guidance counselors or teachers and kept anonymous. >> we know that nationally and fitchburg is not an exception, that the need to secure a stable food supply has continued to increase so we certainly have seen the same pattern. reporter: the operation so big now, kira can't pay for it with birthday cas also apply for grants . reporter: that work, well worth it she says every time the weekend rolls around. >> i still get the good feeling knowing that kids, every friday, don't have to worry about monday and waiting for their next meal. reporter: karing for kids operates year round, working with the rec department in the summer and they deliver special baskets for the holidays and even gifts for the kids who receive those kid packs. to find out more, go to

little of this. it is not going to last. high temperatures should be achieved no later than noon time. a cold front comes through. temperature start to drop. all areas to the north, there is a chance of cold air. that front will be on our doorstep by midmorning. the wind will pick up. day, it will be windy in the afternoon. it will be colder early evening and it will be starting out in the morning. it does not last longer than that area we start to moderate. it should be in the 40's,

la ni?a is starting to be talked about. we have a cooler ocean water temperature regime. it also laid between cooler and warmer. when it is warm that cycle is el ni?o. that changes the weather patterns. generally not as much as el ni?o. the idea is it is favoring mild air southeast. we have to see what's going to happen. if we get some blocking patterns , it can get somewhat colder. it remains to be seen how that will play out. it is all over the place. tremendous range. that factor isn't the whole story.
