elevations. you can be surprised what elevation can do. this is the thing. even as we move through much of the week, we're talking about staying well above normal. it's not typical november as we move through the week ahead. right now, you're heading out and things are feeling relatively mild. it's all about comparing what we saw yesterday morning, which was down into the 20's and 30's, this morning we're well into the upper 30's and 40's. so comparatively, quite a bit warmer. plymouth at 38. because we're seeing such a light wind, the wind-chill factor not as much of a concern heading out this morning. 10-degree warm-up for worcester from this time yesterday. that continues into the after no noon jump.

past 24 hours as we see pesky clouds early this morning. this is something that's helping us in a way, because it's keeping our temperatures a bit warmer. it's trapping in some of the warmth, and that is something that will help to keep our temperatures in the 40's for many locations this early morning. we are watching some clearing to our west, though. this high pressure is bringing in that westerly wind. you can feel beautiful sunny skies to the west and great lakes heading our way. sunshine will break through this afternoon. mild conti a rather than the northwest. and so we will see those temperatures climb quite a bit for this afternoon. and there's the high temperatures. worcester 53 degrees with that sunshine. we're also seeing boston inching toward 60 at 58 degrees. you can see that's the case especially if you travel southward, inching closer and closer to 60 degrees today with providence at 59 for the high. we will see that sunshine break through, but the thing is rain is lurking just to our south.
5:16 am
we have high pressure in place right now keeping that sunshine in place. westerly winds keeping us mild. as that high pressure starts to shift, it allows low pressure and rain to move up the coast. so this is something that right now is down near florida. it's making its way up the coast as we inch toward tomorrow and eventually making its way toward our area as we move toward late monday night into tuesday. and if we take it through, mainly, this is a tuesday occurrence. notice it's the shore. that has us a bit concerned. we have the super moon tonight into monday morning. that is going to bring some very high tides to our area. we call them king tides. that is something that will stick around through monday and tuesday. those high tides coincide with this onshore flow of that rain as we head into tuesday as well. so we are talking about the possibility of coastal flooding into tuesday, especially late morning and into the afternoon.

highs in the upper 50's. 60 for tomorrow. a great start to the week. then we're tracking the rainfall. that's something that will be moving in for tuesday. notice how that moves right off the coast and interacts with another system in canada. we talk about minor coastal flooding and gusty coastal winds as well. the rest of the seven-day, we have temperatures mainly hanging out in the 50's, but notice how we start to inch a bit warmer by later in the week, even into next weekend. by friday, we're hitting 6 crossing into the 60's. doug and antoinette, we have a very warm sunday forecast to look forward to. that rain will be beneficial with the drought conditions we're still under. antoinette: all right, kelly ann. thank you for that. time right now is 5:17. taking a look at the other stories we are following right now -- doug: six people hospitalized after what police call a flash mop attack in philadelphia. that includes an off-duty police officer suffering minor injuries. it happened at around 6:00 last night when police say a group of
