already. 53 degrees out there. a big difference from yesterday. kelly ann: even within the past few hours, a big difference. things are starting to warm up with the sun breaking through and climbing into the 50's. a light wind at 13 miles now or not doing much as far as affecting how it is feeling when you're heading out this morning. really mild for much of the region. you can see along the coastline, most of us climbing into t a few more 40's on the board. springfield at 49 degrees. we will see things move up regionwide as we move through the afternoon as clouds clear out for the morning. climbing up into the 50's. high-pressure today but we do have some rain for later this week. antoinette: we want to get you

zealand. doug: an earthquake rocking the christchurch area. it was so powerful that it generated a tsunami. the first waves crashing in on self island. >> we certainly experience a lot of earthquakes down here. what was different is the duration of the quake. doug: told to move to higher ground immediately. over 200 buildings are damaged. that same area was rocked by a quake in 2011 killing 180 five people. we will keep you updated throughout the morning. boston police investigating a deadly shooting in dorchester. police got a call yesterday for one person shot on ames street. they found two victims at the scene.

these victims. anyone with any information is asked to call police. antoinette: the man found shot in the woods in easton has died. daniel smith died at brigham and women's hospital. he is found by two boys on wednesday. he had been living in florida recently and investigators are asking anyone who has seen a red mazda three sedan with a serious car accident in midfield on harding street around 10: 30 a.m.. a utility pole snapped in half. no word yet on any injuries. doug: a fourth day of postelection protests going strong across the country. demonstrators making their case against the president-elect. donald trump is hunkered down

the south. tomorrow evening, we start to see it moving up the coast, bringing clouds into the area monday night. by tuesday morning, it will be creeping in two southern new england, making its way in tuesday late morning and early afternoon. this will coincide with the superman tonight and highs that are expected are onshore, we could see some coastal flooding as we head into tuesday afternoon. your seven-day forecasts, in the immediate forecast, we are looking nice and clear. highs in the upper 50's, tomorrow climbing into the 60's and conditions for the super moon are going to be perfect for
