was therefore the emotional aftermath. >> he was drunk when he killed his childhood friend last year. nearly seven months after he killed his best friend in a car crash, joe castano, now 20, changed his plea and accepted responsibility. for craig sampson's family, time has done little to ease their pain. >> all i ask is that you think twice before you act once. >> last month -- last april castano had been visiting his childhood friend at endicott college in beverly, when he crashed his car into a utility pole after leaving a party. sampson died instantly. castano's blood alcohol level was almost three times over the legal limit. thursday, heleaded guilty to motor vehicle homicide and manslaughter.

according to his parents, he's writhing. even when he's sleeping, he's not at peace. there's no escaping what he's done. >> two lives, two families forever changed, but from craig sampson's father, one enduring message. >> i hope that our loss, that our loss, as painful as it is, can maybe prevent somebody else from having the same loss. >> folng probation and he will also lose his drivers license for 15 years. >> a gas leak at a wellesley construction site sent a worker to the hospital. he was part of a crew at an ongoing gas line replacement project on cliff road. about 10:30, the crew noticed a gas leak. one of the workers tried to seal it but was overcome by the fumes and lost consciousness. the crewman was taken to newton-wellesley hospital for treatment; he regained consciousness on the way and is expected to fully recover.

west, 82 in st. louis now, 70 in chicago and cincinnati. we should make 60 or higher tomorrow, away from the shoreline and maybe a little cooler. these are projected high temperatures and you see upper 50's and low 60's. there is a wedge of warmth, but what if change. denver was 80 yesterday, 31 now winter weather going on across the plains states. there have been winter storm watches and blizzard watches and the storm developing out in the ocean. the ball of this will stay offshore but it could be just enough to allow gusty breezes around nantucket during the day tomorrow, so keep that in mind if you're down there. now let's take a look at how things will progress. most of the ocean storms stays out at sea. high pressure is in control into
