>> reporter: a vigorous debate this morning surrounding this video about how two men bumping into each other while crossing the street escalated to this. >> can you get your hands off me? you're supposed to say excuse me when you cross the creek. >> reporter: this 21-year-old said he was walking across the street after leaving work last month when he looked down at a text message. ended up bumping shoulders with another man who he insists didn't say excuse me. >> i turn back and say some cute stuff, you have to say excuse me like that at all. reached out for my sweater, began to call. >> reporter: the police officer sergeant thomas ahearn alleges hodge made eye contact with him and intentionally walked into him. in a police report ahearn wrote, i walked up to him in an attempt to de-escalate the situation and identified myself as a police officer. he says hodge replied with expletives and continued to

mapdzs were clenched into fists which i interprettied as a preassault cue. now hodge faces charges for disorderly conduct and assault and battery. >> stop. don't reach into his pocket. do you have a warrant to search him? >> reporter: the woman seen here grabbing at the officer's arm is now charged with assault and battery on a police officer. she and another woman who videotaped the incident also face charges of interfering with a police officer. cambridge police department released this statement saying the officer's actions were consistent with his duty that assault and battery charge carries as much as 2 1/2 years behind bars, all three defendants are due in court december 21st. it seemed like there was a lot of overreaction here perhaps on both sides but now taxpayer dollars have to take it to court. >> plays into so much stress and tension between communities and police right now. >> and especially with black men and police and how it's being viewed in america. >> all right, linsey, thank you. well, as the cold weather

humidifiers from six differ manufacturers at the lab at thomas jefferson university home and this doctor testing water from inside the humidifier's water tank and the vapor it emits. out of the ten humidifiers, all had bacteria in the tank. two had heavy bacteria growing inside and also in the vapor that our experts say could make our family sick. >> i was surprised by the heavy growth and a few of the devices that you tested. >> reporter: and in three of t how are you? ready to see what was growing in there? >> oh, gross. >> reporter: they found some bacteria but more importantly they found mold in the vapor which means the mold was going out. >> that's not good. especially since we have asthma in our house and allergies. >> reporter: mold in this family's humidifier, as well.

jackson, judge. we have our turkey on the football field as well so that means, rocco, it's you. you're up and we have a question from la toya in our audience. stand up and ask your question. >> what's a quick way to make my turkey -- >> hi, la toya. >> how are you? >> if you don't have enough space, take anything that doesn't need to be in the oven out like the stuffing that you can make on your stovetop. otherwise cook your turkey on the stovetop. this takes 40 minute, rolled breast of turkey, you simply roll it, tie up, tie it up. goes into 1 0 degree olive oil and -- >> like a deep frying way. >> poaching. 180 degrees so doesn't absorb as much fat. if you cook something in fat you know it's not going to be dry. for sure. you end up with this. >> nice. >> amazing. >> that's beautiful. >> like i'm never going to do that. >> good job.

play-by-play. >> we'll have something coming up that says desserts. the show, by the way, clash of the grandmas. eddie is a rock star. we have a question. a video question from grace and camille. hit it, girls. >> both: hi, eddie. my mom and me are working overtime preparing turkey and sides. >> is there any other way we can help prepare desserts? >> yes. very good question. >> cut >> get invited to your friend's house. >> i have an amazing crock pot slow cooker bread pudding so easy. everybody say, ooh. like that, very, very easy, thanksgiving you have a lot of bread laying around, turn night a bread pudding. this crock pot is set at 4 1/2 hours on high. we'll put our bread in. we have some dry cranberry, raisins and -- another raisin lover. pumpkin puree, a little cream, a little egg, a little love. dump it in, set it and forget

how long before -- >> 4 1/2 hours. >> takes a little bit of preplanning. >> anything in a crock pot. >> easy. >> all right, dan, you got your sides coming up next. >> anything in a crock pot, i've long said that. amanda, clair has this question, i love mashed potatoes for thanksgiving but hate having to peel. a recipe where i don't have to. >> i don't like to peel potatoes either so i cook them skin on, right, yeah. skin on, smash them up wh skin, i use yukon gold because the skin is much more tender. i use sour cream in my potatoes. yum. scallion and maybe a little cheddar cheese. >> i love that. it's thanksgiving. why not. >> yeah, i mean i love that you just got applause for saying the words cheddar cheese. phenomenal. >> and that's it and they're ready to go. don't even bother peeling.

a live look outside, across the city, a rare day. >> we're going to have cloudy skies for your thanksgiving for sure, and we've been that tracka band of snow showers, flurries, a few ice pellets mixed in here, a lot of it is not reaching the ground but it's going up into southern new hampshire, out of worcester county, where the temperatures are in the lower 30s, 36 right now in boston. we'll hold in the 30s for the morning hours here for the football games, and it will be chilly, mid-day temperatures in the low 40s, and then as we get towards much of the day is dry but by this evening, rain around, drizzle at times, and stays damp into friday, and then we're going to keep the rain going on saturday before we dry things out on sunday. emily. >> thanks, right now a woman reported missing in middleboro has been found. police say lois harris left her home about 4:00 yesterday, to go to the grocery store, and she did not return, the 73-year-old was found in east hamm, and this fire is under investigation.

elderly man out. the fire broke out last night at the home on midland avenue. neighbors knew an elderly man was inside, so they knocked down the door to rescue him. firefighters tell us that the elderly man was alert and talking when he was taken to the hospital. no word on his condition this morning. we are back with you at noon today. good luck with that holiday meal. join us if you can.
