reduced, and that's something you'll need to watch for especially for some inland locations as we move throughout the morning forecast. showers, as you can see, mainly down to our south. we have the first track which is just barely approaching the cape and islands at this point will be pushing north and east ward within the next hour or two in a weakened form. mainly a light drizzle. we also have some streaks of rain as we move out to our west, though. and so that will be approaching as we move through the forecast this morning and afternoon. there's more from. it actually stretches well through western new york and so that's why we do have that shower chance mainly going to affect some of our southern locations and as we move onto the coastline this afternoon. temperatures are going to inch toward the 40's today. not a huge warm-up, but it's relatively mild as we do climb out of the 0 30 for early this morning. notice how clouds are stubborn. we're not seeing much in the way of sunshine today. we'll have to wait for that until tomorrow afternoon.

trend as well. here's a look at that. clouds locked in for this morning. notice how we start to see the signs of some of that rain that was off to the west right now moving toward some western portions of massachusetts by 10:00 a.m. so that's moving in in the form of a very cool rain and even the chance of flurries mixing with that, especially for the berkshires and some of the highest mountains. as that pushes eastward, notice it moves in in a weakened form. we're calling for a spot shower or two, not concentrated onto the cape and islands. a lot of us missing out on that, getting stuck in on those clouds and the dampness in the air. that continues through this evening. watch for spot showers. nothing looking to be heavy or persistent. we move through the night. things are drying out and eventually as we move toward your sunday forecast, we start to see the clouds clearing out as well. they're pushing off the coast, allowing that sunshine to break back through into our area, hinting at some changes as we move throughout the work week
5:18 am
forecast. we're drying out into your sunday, monday things are brightening. temperatures are inching toward the mid to upper 40's. eventually we're pulling into the 50's, though, as we move toward the middle of the workweek. here's a look at the rest of the seven-day. showers by tuesday evening. again for wednesday and thursday. more shower chances moving through. so we have a good threat of rain moving in for the middle of this workweek. doug and antoinette, notice how relatively warm. into the low to mid 50's through much of next week. antoinette: all right, kelly ann. thank you. time right now 5:18. other stories we're tracking on the eyeopener, state lawmakers with a special request for jetblue airlines. doug: this is over noise complaints. asking jetblue to install older plane with noise reducing equipment. the hope is it will make their descent into logan less
