a freezing rain and more problems tomorrow night. breaking details on the ohio state campus attack. j.c.: the actions students took today that experts say you need to plan for. a little boy wandering alone on a busy new hampshire highway. the trouble with the daycare that was supposed we watching him. a lot of rain coming our way it could make travel tough tomorrow. good evening. i'm j.c. monahan. ed: i'm ed harding. the cold overnight temperatures mean some of us could hit ice on our morning drive. meteorologist mike wankum shows us where. mike: these temperatures have dropped like a rock so they are cold. a little bit of rain on top of it, look at this wall of water. the question is can it get here in time with that cold air in place or will it be scoured out and we warm things up?

hours after she was rushed to the hospital from this home in berlin yesterday afternoon. an autopsy shows she died from blunt impact injuries. a neighbor says madison's mother was on the porch when the ambulance arrived and told her the toddler fell from a bunk bed. investigators believe this was more than that. >> it is more than just a fall. it is more than just a glancing hit. a measure of force that is so strong that you are causing not only external but also internal injuries with it. so far, no charges have been filed. right now, still no arrests in a deadly hit-and-run crash in brockton. a young father run down just after leaving a city bar. police have questioned the suspected driver behind the wheel of this jaguar in friday morning's crash. surveillance video shows it happen on north main street early friday, the impact too violent to show on tv. 25-year-old sergio vallecillo was thrown into the air. he was a father of three young children who called the hospital

piling desks against a door in one classroom. mary saladna tells us that security experts say everyone should understand this strategy. mary that's right, whether : you're on a college campus, or holiday shopping at a mall, run, hide, fight could save your life. when ohio state authorities learned there was an active shooter on campus, they immediately issued this campus wide alert, and remnded students -- reminded students to run, hide, fight. it is a philosophy now embraced by many in the law enforcement community. >> america today, unfortunately we've got to teach our kids run, hide, and fight. that is our colleges and universities, in our hospitals and workplaces. mary: dan linsky is a security expert and retired superintendent chief of the boston police. he says everyone needs to have a plan, and be ready to respond. this video found on dept of homeland security website shows a workplace scenerio, but the rules are the same regardless of the targeted location.
