job hiring slowed down in january. the labor department says the u-s economy added 151 thousand jobs. that's a lot less than expected. but the unemployment rate ticked down to 4 point 9 percent-- that's the lowest it's been since 2008. president obama is calling for a new ten-dollar-per-barrel tax on oil. it would be paid by oil companies, and

aggressive apex predator found all over virginia. biologists say for decades the muskie has filled a valuable niche in the ecosystem. it is at the top of the food chain and it helps regulate and balance the other prey species at the bottom of the food chain the virginia department of game and inland fisheries the muskies across the state since the late 70s. it wasn't till the early 90s the population really started to rise and here on the upper james river, biologists are eager to learn more about the fish. we are no longer stocking the fishery, it's taking care of itself. the river is full of 36 to 40 plus fish. locals call it "the fish of ten thousand casts" but the nickname may be losing its reputation as the muskie is becoming more abundant here on the james river we're netting muskies. 05:01:02 what the states wants to do is tag them in two areas--one where fishermen can

if they catch it again. head when you're in the next month, biologists are data by using electro what looks like metal tenacles that are connected to a generator. turns on water and stuns any fish in the area. once a muskie appears, the boat fish where it's netted, put in a live well and we inject them with about the size of a grain of rice and that has an id on it that we can id that fish in the future, how much it's grown where it has traveled, if it's tagged here or somewhere else. the next thing we do is put a tag in for anglers to see and they can clip that tag off and send it back to us. and that tag helps us get an idea of how often those fish are caught and released or caught and harvested. it's free money, all you gotta do is catch the fish of ten thousand casts but hopefully for you it'll only take a few. kimberly, it's worth
