there will be an increased police presence at northside high school in roanoke county today. a school spokesperson says posts threatening violence were circulating on social media starting on wednesday. roanoke county police say there is no validity to the threat. there were additional officers on campus yesterday as well. classes were not

verify the threats. a possible threat from isis ramped up security at the hargrave military academy in chatham on tuesday. hargrave is a military boarding school primarily for seventh through 12th graders. the school's president says they immediately got in touch with local law enforcement after receiving the message. now, that investigation includes other state and federal agencies. yesterday, the school held assemblies with cadets and employees. they also sent a message to parents. there was an open house planned for this weekend -- but it's been cancelled. all cadets will be allowed to go home through the weekend if they'd like. the president says they've never faced a situtation like this before. half days will become full days for the henry county public school system. is changing its calendar to help make up for the recent snow days school officials say they're trying their best to change the school calendar but keep spring break. two planned half days in march have now become full days. students will also come to school for an extra half day in may. with the possibility
