good afternoon. the cold's already here, and it won't be long before the snow hitting parts of the country arrives in southeast wisconsin. meterologist justin thompson- gee has your first look at ready weather... today: some sunshine under a partly cloudy sk highs in the low to middle 20s but feeling like the low teens due to the wind. wind: nw 5-15 mph.tonight: some clouds while staying partly cloudy. lows in the low teens with wind chills from 00 to 100. wind: w 5-10 mph.weekend: saturday starts out with a little bit of sunshine before clouds increase. stays chill saturday with highs in the low 20s but feeling closer to 100. snow arrives by saturday late afternoon or early evening. light snow continuous saturday night and all day sunday before wrapping up sunday morning. highs on sunday will be close to the freezing mark

while we wait for this weekend's snow, our recent stretch of cold weather has been a economic boon for local ski hills including little switzerland in washington county. cbs 58's julie parise joins us live from little swiss in slinger with more...julie? we're not expect snow until tomorrow...but you can see over my shoulder here that it's already looking like a winter wonderland here in slinger. take a look,. they've been making this snow since tuesday, so the hill here is already looking covered.now that the pumping the snow out.the technology they use to make this stuff is advanced. there are 23 snow guns all over the hill blowing it out.managers here can operate the amount of water and pressure from their cell phones. one of the managers tells me i think a lot of people think

a chilling scene...90 feet of skid-marks leading to a crash involving a sheboygan county if take a look at these pictures... pictures....investigators say a distracted driver collided with the deputy's cruiser on i-43 around 2 this morning. the driver told deputies his cruise control was set on 75. he had a dog in the car and when he looked down at the dog...he accidentally rear- ended the cruiser. the impact flung the deputy's car into a metal guardrail..causing it to rollover. the deputy was trapped for a few minutes, but withthe help of the driver

under investigation. rash is 3 from waukesha county...an okauchee man is inthe hosptial after a car ?crashed? into his garage while he was working on ?his? car. car.a friend of the victim tells us a car was heading down the sawyer road off ramp...it did ?not? stop and crashed into the garage.the friend says the man was pinned in the wreckage and was later airlifted to the hospital.the woman who was driving the car was able to get out on her own. police are still trying to figure out ho the potential release of a sex offender is causing some problems for people in washington and fond du lac coun. counties.some are fighting the release of"terry olson" into the community of el duh-ray-doh.in a washington county courtroom, they pleaded that he should be released into the ?same place? where he committed his crimes--- and ?not? in fond du lac county. olson is due for release after serving time forfirst and second degree child sex assault.

lining... black shoes with white stripes and pink lining...if you recognize her -- call milwaukee police district five police? at 414-935-7251. a man is seriously hurt after an overnight shooting in milwaukee. it happened around 11 last night near north 26th and west galena streets. police say a 44-year-old man was shot several times. he was taken to the hospital for treatment.the shooting is under vestigation. a natural gas leak f evacuation of an industrial building in glendale just after 8-30 this morning.the north shore fire department tells us a heater malfunctioned, sending the dangerous gas into the air. crews quickly shut it off and with help from we energies..and within an a hour...the all clear was given for people to return to the business. coming up on the cbs 58 news the presidential recount will continue in wisconsin...why a federal judge denied a request to stop it....

thousands are celebrating in south korea now that the country's president has been impeached.the korean parliment voted to oust ?park geun-hye? . her powers are now suspended

taken over by the country's prime minister.the decision comes after 'goon-hay' was named a suspect in a corruption scandal involving leaked state documents. she denied the claims -- still millions called for her to step down. here at home -- a federal judge has ?denied? a request to stop the presidential recount in wisconsin.... wisconsin....the decision comes after two pro-trp groups filed a federal lawsuit to stop the process.the judge said trump made his own claims voter fraud and nothing about it integrity of elections....so far -- 55 wisconsin counties have finished recounting ballots includes milwaukee county.... ?and? waukesha county.both trump and clinton have had votes added to their total.the election commission says.... all counties are on track to finish the recount by monday's deadline. and...president-elect trump is coming back to wisconsin next week...he's planned a stop in west allis on tuesday as part of his "u-s-a thank you 2016
