if the public appears to support an outside investigation of fatal officer involved deaths..why not apply the same law to deaths in jail. jail.it's the latest development in the ongoing debate over management at the milwaukee county jail after four deaths in six months. months.cbs 58's jocelyne pruna is here with the update...jocelyne. 3 3 bill and michelle.... this is a resolution. so it's not binding. but they see it as a way to apply pressure to sheriff david clarke. kristina fiebrink..... and the faces of those who have died in custody in the last six months--- another one included a baby. "this isn't about right or left, this isn't about liberal or conservative. it's about just accountability for the decisions we make with public resources and the sheriff's department like any other one at the county is paid for by your money and you are right the resolution is approved, the board will still need sheriff david clarke's cooperation to start an outside investigation. "what i think we can do is come collectively together adn to say we need that outside investigation into milwaukee county. four deaths by any means is not something that happens just by mistake." 3 we reached out to the sheriff's office for comment and we haven't heard back. but according to the county board's spokesperson... he's invited to testify at a judicial committee this

the milwaukee common council voted today to remove lead pipes that supply water to homes in the city...it was a split vote that drew controversy because of the cost to the homeowners whose very health is at stake.cbs 58's kyle aevermann reports from city hall. in a 12 to 3 vote, milwuakee's common council passedor mandates the replacement of lead service lines on private p. property.so what does this mean?if you have a lead service line and it breaks.. the city will pay the majority of the replacement.but homeowners would be required to pay one third of the repair or a maximum of 16-hundred dollars. and that could be spread out in payments over a 10 year period. period. the goal is to get rid of those old lead lines that were installed more than 50 years ago.there were a few amendments added the the ordinance this morning

a holiday lights display in boston is looking a little bare. and the city's explaination...squirrels. people started noticing strings of lights had gone out on the boston common tree. the city's contractor who installs the lights discovered that the squirrels love copper...and have been eating through the lights all season.
