situation so scary. the three men were wearing masks and dark clothes when they broke in. they were also armed with what the victims thought were machine guns. orange county sheriff' s office now says they weren' t machine guns, but some sort of weapon nonetheless. this all happened on broken pine circle. that' s just west of hiawassee road in pine hills. several people were inside that house at the time of the invasion. one got hurt, but it was a minor injury. the sheriff' s office says the men stole a car and drove off. while deputies wouldn' t confirm the make or model, it' s possible that the stolen car is a black mercedes benz. the sheriff' s office tells us there' s no indication that the victims knew the invaders. michelle? michelle: all right, jazmin, thank you. right now, deputies in marion county are asking for your help to find a missing teen with autism. investigators say a deputy spotted 17-year-old margaret lehman walking away from belleview high school yesterday morning. he took her back, but now she is not been seen since. she was wearing a purple and blue jacket, blue jeans, and a panda knit hat. if you see her, call 911. jason: happening today, one of the men charged in a burglary that ended in a deadly crash in seminole county will answer to a judge.

was one of the suspects who broke into a home in sanford in november and then led them on a high-speed chase. the suv thompson was in flipped while trying to avoid stop sticks on the 417. two people in the car with him died in the crash. thompson will be arraigned today on armed burglary and grand theft charges. today, a judge is expected to announce whether she' s reducing bond for a teenager accused of trying to run over an orlando police officer. last july, officers say edward kelty ran over officer william anderson. anderson fired two shots in return, injuring kelty. the officer' s wife says her husband has vision problems, a traumatic brain injury, and ptsd. as soon as the judge makes a ruling, we' ll bring it to you inside the wesh 2 mobile app. michelle: happening today, president obama promises something different during his final state of the union address. the president says this won' t be just a list of priorities for congress. nbc'

if you take a look at our thermometer, you can see we are in a low 40' s where we are in downtown orlando, but again with the windchill factor, it feels a little older than that even. we are right in front of the orlando police headquarters building here downtown. this is where you are going to be able to come by and drop off any donations you may have, coats, blankets. they will be collecting those this morning starting in about half an hour at :00. going through downtown this morning, we did see several people bundled up. we have seen more of them in the hours since. opd says today' s event from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. is part of an ongoing drive. the jackets and blankets it collects are dropped off at the coalition for the homeless. officers also put some in their cruisers to pass out on the streets if they see people who need them. today, you can pull up here and add to the collection with your own donation.

s on drive, downtown orlando, moving nicely, no delays test yet. much busier on i-4 westbound in seminole county. live shot of i-4 in downtown orlando p also be 528 where we have west him, busy going through the airport toll plaza. jason: right now, the search is on for a driver who hit a young child and kept on going. michelle: the speeding car struck 3-year-old daniel monsalve last night in winter garden as he was walking home with his brother. wesh 2' s jazmin walker is here, jazmin, an ice cream truck driver jumped into action. jazmin: that' s right. he told daniel' s brother to hold the money for their ice cream. he then sped off, found the car believed to have hit the little boy, and even took pictures. daniel and his brother luis were crossing east cypress street in winter garden when this happened. thanks to the pictures the ice cream truck driver snapped, police were able to locate the

east cypress street and ninth. luis garcia: the guy in the ice cream truck told me to hold on to the money, and he went after the guy and got pictures of the license plate and everything. i' m glad that he did that. jazmin: by the time they found the car, investigators say it was abandoned, but they were able to figure out who owns the car. now, they' re trying to figure out if the owner was behind the wheel. daniel had to get an mri on his head to make sure there wasn' t any damage, but his family says they feel pretty confident he' ll be ok. if you know who was driving that car, call winter garden police. jason? jason: jazmin, thank you theater now, we are following breaking news out of turkey this morning, 10 people were killed, 15 more injured after an explosion in a busy tourist area today. broadcasts in istanbul say it was a suicide bomber in a historic square. turkey has become a target for isis. they have taken credit for two bombings in the last year. look for continuing coverage on "the today show." happening in the day ahead, the chief suspect in lonzie barton' s death will return to court.

office believes remains found yesterday belong to the missing toddler. police say william ebron junior told them where to find the remains. hours later, a judge reportedly refused to sign off on a plea deal for ebron. more charges could be on the way. tom hackney: that little boy did not need to be discarded like a piece of trash. and today, we are able to take him and he hopes that he will be able to spend his eternity in some place that is peaceful. jason: today' s pre-trial conference for ebron was scheduled before all the new developments. michelle: today, family and friends will remember a popular sanford convenience store owner who was murdered last month. a candlelight vigil will be held for joshua hur, he was shot and killed in front of kim' s food store two days before christmas. last week, police released surveillance pictures of these three people, detectives still want to talk to them because

could lead them to the killer. jason: covering volusia county, a 17-year-old road rage shooting suspect is expected to enter a plea today. daytona beach police say he shot two people on new year' s eve at a gas station. the victims claim the teen shot them when they confronted him about a hit-and-run accident. but the teen' s mother says he was chased down, and he was only defending himself. michelle: tonight, president obama is playing out his final year in office. wesh 2' s nikole killion is in washington with what you' ll hear during the state of the union address. nikole: this is entered when president obama leaves the white house night, he is changing things up about with his final state of the union. gone are the long list of policy proposals. and said, are the issues he will not only focus on the progress the country has made and what he hopes to accomplish but also what the country can do together in the years ahead.

s back to work for lawmakers at the state capitol. michelle: before they begin, governor rick scott will deliver his state of the state address. he is expected to focus on taxes and the jobs. brett connolly is in studio right now. brett, taxes will be a key issue during this legislative session. brett: yeah, michelle, good morning. tax breaks on back to school shopping and college textbooks are two popular cuts that could be part of a larger deal. a number of other headlines also on the list. let' s take a look at those. the republican-led legislature is set to pass to new tax cuts. just how much is uncertain. governor scott suggested $1 billion, but lawmakers might move on a number much smaller. could we see more guns on campus? one proposal would allow concealed weapons licenses to carry on colleges and universities. another allows people with licenses to openly carry guns. legalized gambling could grow throughout the state. lawmakers are working with the seminole tribe of florida to determine areas for expansion. the battle over cash for education continues.

it is a cool start. it will be a cool afternoon. look at these numbers -- heading into the lower to mid the today, and notice that is well below our average high temperature. it is going to be another cold day like yesterday, a few degrees warmer. notice we are going to stay cooler than average right through thursday, so highs only in the 60' s. once we get through friday and saturday, we will warm up a little bit, but we are also going to get rain and a lot more cloud cover with a couple of hunts that will be -- a couple of fronts headed our way. we have not reached freezing yet, although there is a freeze warning in effect for marion county and flagler county through 9:00 a.m. we have a little bit of time for these temperatures to drop, especially getting some of these clouds to clear out. 37 and the villages, 43 orlando, 43 right now in daytona beach. there is certainly a chill in the air. the dew points are low. it will be another dry day.
