morning. thursday. jason: there is plenty of sunshine in the forecast for the day ahead. as you step outside. amy sweezey joins us now. good morning. there, but nothing like the fog we were dealing with yesterday. sunrise happens one hour from now. lots of dry air. our temperatures will be cooler than yesterday. we will make it to the upper 60' s-lower 70' s in most spots where as yesterday we were in the middle 70' s. we are not dealing with the big fog we were dealing with yesterday. down to a quarter of a mile in our inland spots. 59 in melbourne, so kind of depends on where you are

we will all make it into the lower 70' s, close to average later today. 70 degrees in ocala and the villages and 72 will be our high in claremont. 72 in longwood and oviedo. couple of upper 60' s along the coast to the north. lower 70' s to the south as those winds kick up out of the northeast later today. more about that breeze coming up in just a few minutes. let' s get an early check of the roads. jazmin: a crash reported westbound on the entrance ramp to the 408 from colonial drive. watch out as you are getting onto the roadway. if you are getting onto i-4, four minutes from the conway toll plaza to i-4. i-4 westbound still just six minutes from 434 to lee road as

county. here is our view from obt. jason: investigators are working a rare deadly crime in winter park. michelle: two men were killed in a shooting last night. alex villareal is live. there are still a lot of questions in this case. alex: yes, a lot of unanswered questions. why were shots fired out here last night? police would not tell us how many bullets were fired, but you can see that there are a lot of evidence markers out here. we also know that marker on the corner with the letter be on it -- letter d on it, that is where one of the bodies was found. the other was found in the back of the house. police are not looking for any suspects but they do not believe this was a murder suicide. that seems to imply this may have been some sort of shootout

the two dead were both males and both died of gunshot wounds. the woman out here last night told her crew that her husband and son were fighting and now both are dead. police are not confirming that part of this investigation. it is very rare for winter park to see a situation like this. >> it is an isolated incident, we don' t like to experience it. unfortunately, we have to come out here and take care of the situation and handle the investigation. alex: this started before 10:00 last night, when people reported hearing those gunshots. the joint homicide investigative team that the winter park police are a part of is leading this investigation. as soon as we get new details we will bring those straight to you here on air and on wesh.com.

michelle: winter park police are trying to piece together a shooting that left two people dead. it happened on west avenue. police are not looking for any suspects and it is not a murder suicide. jason: today is day three in the search for a missing newborn. investigators hauled away dumpsters for closer investigation. the mother, susan richardson, is in jail on charges of child neglect. michelle: the white house will reveal the details of president s trip to cuba. restore diplomatic ties with cuba. police are looking for the bold robbers who ransacked a cell phone store with customers still inside. closing time last night.

brett: here is the store post robbery here. this is that store post robbery. these guys walked right through the front door during normal business hours and started taking items. this is at 436 and ethics. -- essex . they got away with $15,000 worth of merchandise. nobody was hurt. the guys walked in on armed. the first suspects, wearing a notre dame hoodie and the guy behind him appears to be wearing a camouflage shirt with an orange winter cap. there is surveillance video from inside the store, but it is unclear if that is going to get released. it is possible a third suspect was involved.

s from a -- dirt bikes from a business. at first, they struggle but then use a hammer to break through a steel garage door. the business provided a picture of the two bikes that were taken. a yamaha and a honda. michelle: two competing officers are on the other side of the law. the officers assaulted for women and say the abuse began in december of 2008 and lasted nearly three years. an attorney says she is now living in a state of fear. >> it is something she is going to have to live with the rest of her life. jason: boxing star manny pacquiao has lost his contract

the weather. amy: we have sunshine today. it is cool this morning but like it was yesterday, so if the kids wore a civil jacket -- zip up jacket, temperatures are similar this morning. sunrise happens shortly after 7:00. we don' t have all the fog that we had yesterday. that will help a little bit. not as many things to be concerned about as you head off this morning. 49 in daytona beach. 51 in orlando. this is the clear skies. our temperatures have been dropping here slowly. melbourne is warmer because we have that brees near the ocean there. look at our visibility. 10 miles. we will once we get through

breezy winds, that will be the one big difference compared to yesterday. you will notice those wind coming out of the northeast. with those winds coming in, that is going to keep our temperatures a degree or two cooler than we were yesterday. we will still be warm. we will top out at 70 in ocala and the villages. 72 in claremont. 72 longwood and oviedo, 73 orlando and winter park and 74 in kissimmee and saint cloud. cooler to the north in flagler county especially at the coast with that brees off the ocean. -- breez e off the ocean. it will be breezy. we have that moderate risk for rip currents.

i-4. sunshine. amy: we are 30 minutes away, sunrise officially happens right after 7:00 and we have plenty of it today. upper 60' s by noon, we will keep climbing only to the lower 70' s. slightly cooler. our winds are shifting around and kicking up. that is going to keep us cooler. temperature difference, not to significant. a few of us are a couple of degrees cooler. 51 in orlando and 59 in melbourne. a big difference again. melbourne is warmer because it is close to the water and we get that warming effect with the wind and those ocean water temperatures. visibility looks good, and once we get going to see that

double homicide in winter park. michelle: it is not an area that sees a lot of crime. alex villareal is live today. they are not looking for a suspects. -- any suspects. alex: no one is believed to be outstanding which means that whatever transpired here happened between the two individuals who are dead. the fire department is here right now. we just saw some of the cleaning going on to remove some of the blood that was out here on the sidewalk. one of those individuals was found ed at the corner here where you see the power pole. that is where one of the bodies was. we saw evidence markers out here earlier. they are removing the climb seen take -- crime scene tape at this point. police told our crew they did

they did not believe this was a murder suicide so that implies this may have been some sort of shootout between the two males who were found dead. the two dead were both males, a woman out here crying last night told her crew her husband and son were fighting and now both were dead. police are not confirming that is the case here. they are not confirming the relationship between these two men. multiple shots fired and both victims were dead of gunshot wounds. the bodies were found a little bit of a distance away from each other. it happened before 10:00 last night. the joint homicide investigative team the police department is a part of is the group leading this investigation. it is very rare for winter park to see a situation like this. it has been years since the last homicide deaths in winter park. this is something we will continue to follow for you.

desertion of a child. documents show richard lied to investigators about giving birth, then admitted it. she cannot remember what random resident she dropped that baby off at. richardson has a 2000 nine arrest. she claims she did not take her medication for mental disorders. records show richardson has an eight-year-old daughter. the department of children and families tell us they are investigating the missing newborn and will take necessary steps to protect any other children in the family. michelle: we are waiting to see if there is an arrest after troopers found the suv involved in a deadly hit and run. fhp received a anonymous tip about the 1993 jeep cherokee. it is the same vehicle that hit

sunshine for your thursday. we are going to make it to 73 today, cooler than yesterday because of the wind direction out of the north and northeast. as the wind continues to shift over the next few days, we slowly start to heat up every afternoon. another front will coolest down tuesday and wednesday of next week. 41 in ocala, 52 in sanford and 59 melbourne. it is much cooler in the 40' s. the i-4 corridor in the south in the 50' s and melbourne is warmer because we have that brees thanks to the ocean -- breeze thanks to the ocean water temperatures being warmer. lots of dry air in the middle part of the atmosphere, that is the orange color you see here. that will lead to low humidity and plenty of sunshine again today.
