taking a look at the headlines. could the bagel or bowl of cereal increase your risk of cancer? new studies suggest those who eat a sugary, starchy diet may have a higher risk of developing lung cancer even if they don't smoke. researchers in houston compared the eating habits of 1,900 lung cancer payments with more than 2,000 people without cancer. those who ate foods that elevated a person's sugar level were 50% more likely to be in the lung cancer group.
