attack happened days after the former oregon state university student beat a classmate with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. two men are in the hospital after a shooting last night outside casablanca bar. they were working as security guards at the bar. police said they denied entry to three men who did not have identification. one of the men went to his car, returned with a handgun, and began shooting. at this hour, no word on the condition of the victims. three triple shootings over the weekend. a seven-year-old child was shot while playing outside. a reporter joins us from outside police headquarters with the latest on both investigations. >> one man was shot in east baltimore. 2 more were shot in central baltimore along guilford avenue. add that to 2 triple shootings over the weekend. three people shot in each of

those incidents, including a young child. to st.ves were called charles avenue in west baltimore for a triple shooting. three men received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at an area hospital. less than 24 hours earlier, another triple shooting in the 1200 block of east eager street. police say a seven-year-old child was playing outside when he was hit the gunfire, along with 2 adult pick them's. >> complete disregard for the community, and an innocent child playing on his own street. fired several rounds. we have evidence to indicate it was multiple shots that were fired, nine to 10 shots at least. >> investigators say this was not a random shooting, but the child was not an intended target. they say the shooting was part of a neighborhood dispute, but so far, they have gotten no leads in the case, and they are turning to the community for help.

like moments ago. it happened around 10:00 this morning. we are told the victim, a 25- year-old man, was doing home improvement work at the time of the collapse. three people are nursing burn injuries after a bomb exploded yesterday. victims were sent flying into the water when the powerboat burst into flames. one man suffered serious burns, and two women sustained minor injury. witnesses tell us the situation could have gotten much worse. >> god only knows what would have happened, had it caught additional votes and fire. it would have been a huge explosion. >> investigators are still working to determine what caused the boat to explode. >> so far today, a lot of cloud cover, but little precipitation. still a chance we could see light showers.

attempt to save his girlfriend's life according to people.com on monday, a neighbor was heading to the pool in his new orleans apartment complex when he heard a scream from the hall. i pushed the door open and saw a guy bear hugging someone to his chest said engineering mike simpson. it was ryan. he just found his girlfriend hanging from a metal staircase. he said, she hung herself. i looked over and that's when i saw the rope. another neighbor called 911 and handed the phone to simpson and said they needed to do cpr. ryan who was sobbing just kept yelling her name, why, gia, why? simpson estimates it was eight minutes before the paramedic arrived. he told the paramedic i was gone for an hour and came home and she was like this. she was taken to the hospital and taken off life support wednesday. still to come, shawnee o'neill reveals how shaq fares as the father of her kids.

"in the house" was exactly the opposite. hey, i will collect a paycheck but my life is about everything else. l.l. was about music at the time and not working hard as an actor. coming back for the last season, i don't want to do the last season. they convinced me to do it but said i will do it as long as i don't have to do it with l.l. >> the returning point was when l.l. went to work with james cameron on a movie and returned and said i am sorry. >> he came and said i wish i had known then what i know now about being here and present and working as an actor and really learning what it takes to be great. he apologized for the work environment that we had. i'm so proud of him now.
