tonight, one community is dealing with a devastating loss after a 9-year-old boy passed away after getting hit by a car. drew hayden was sledding in his neighborhood when he was hit by

derick waller, a very emotional vigil wrapped up. >> reporter: a very sad and emotional vigil that just wrapped up. little christian wears a football jersey iny with his best friend's name emblaze opened on top of his own. >> we used to draw pictures a lot. and we used to play with each other. and when we were -- . >> reporter: christian joined some of drew's other schoolmates, family, and loved ones for the emotional prayer vigil. images of drew flashed during the vigil. >> it's not something you ever get over. >> reporter: the 9-year-old boy was sledding in his

car hit him. he was in critical condition for days and eventually died of his injuries. >> the kids are devastated. you see this happening but you never think it will be you or knowing someone who is close and it hit home. >> reporter: this vigil was planned when drew was in the hospital fighting for his life, but it took on greater importance after his death. derick waller, newschannel 5. services planned for cynthia mathers and her daughters, allison and ruthie will be laid to rest on january 21 at christ community church in hudson. the investigation into the explosion is one of murder/suicide. her husband, jeff, was also killed. and students in lakewood

and produce us with snowfall. but behind that is a lot cooler air. we are talking about wind chills tomorrow evening possibly down to 5 to 10 below. also, heavy snow really starts to move in, and want to get you prepares for the lake-effects snow warning in in effect for ashtabula, and we are forecasting 8-12" and we could definitely see heavier amounts. heavy snowfall in the area, and it's an equal opportunity to see snow across the board as the front moves through. taking a look at the futurecast, by 6:00 a.m., we are a-okay. it's around noon that we see west winds that spreads inland from stark to summit counties. worcester, 27, and definitely a chilly day, and it really continues throughout your
