remember a little boy killed in a sledding accident. news channel 5 kristin, live in north ridgeville and a vigil for hayden just got under way there. >> reporter: at least 50 people are here now, many are neighbors, walking from houses all around and this service is being held in the area where 9- year-old drew hayden had his accident on tuesday. that sledding accident. this is the hill here where he was sledding down, in his neighborhood, he sled all the way down here, and this is where he collided in the street with a car. he was sent to the hospital in critical condition. on friday, he died. this service here is going to be all about prayer and song, and people gathering. they are going to be singing. they will be saying prayers. and this is going on, as the makeshift memorials for drew continue to grow here. so i want to show you what this looks like. there are teddy bear, flowers, there is even a note from a woman who talks about her prayers for the family, because

so much love and support out here. we talked to a man who stopped by the memorial a bit ago and he told us that his kids sled down this hill all the time but always conscious, always nervous about the height of the hill and the closeness of this street. >> i couldn't imagine the devastation. and what the family is feeling. what the family is going through. he was just a little boy. excited about the snow. and that's what kept going through my mind. i have an 11-year-old, you know, and a 15-year-old now, that we used to do it, too, and i don't know what i would do if anything were to happen to my children. >> that north ridgeville resident stopped by to blow snow off of the memorial here. and i just spoke to north ridgeville police this morning and they have no updates on the case, and they still not to intend to charge the driver. a missing 10-year-old is now back, safe and sound, with her family tonight. maple heights police say samira lucas took off from her home

after having quote disciplinary problems with parents. she came home this morning, just after 10:30, and police say she appeared to be unharmed. tonight, state troopers are investigating a suspicious device found along state route 212 in stark county. a portion of that road was closed overnight, after a driver reported an object that looks like a bomb. the summit county bomb squad secured that device, and determined it was in fact not an explosive. and police are investigating a series of bomb threats in and around the canton area last night. several stores were evacuated, including target, and walmart. even a police station was on alert there. police later determined the bomb threats were not credible. and anyone with information however should call the ohio state highway patrol, the canton post. three americans, all now former prisoners, are now at an air force base in germany. it is still unclear when the men will return to the united states. elizabeth hur reports that they

benefit for landry coal who was diagnosed with brain cancer in december of 2014. since then, she has had surgery and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. today, 70 people took the plunge to raise money to help her get a special machine used to monitor her sodium levels of the teenager's family is overwhelmed with all of the support that they are receiving. >> we are very grateful. >> the community is amazing. for everyone to go out of their way, these are some really crazy loving caring people that we couldn't have asked for more. >> event organizers say they raised more than $6500 needed to buy that machine. and boy oh, boy, jason, was it cold for those folks to do that. they really do have a big heart to help out that teenager out there. >> absolutely. great cause. and obviously it was a little warmer believe it or not, earlier in the day today and we have this front coming in that gave us the snow for everyone, and now the cold air moving in right behind it. so this is some time lapse photography.

morning, notice the snow, boy, the visibility is down to nothing, we have the snow hitting the lens. and now the snow, believe it or not, has kind of moved out a little bit, as we transfer from a front snow, along an arctic front, to lake effect. it takes about 4-6 hours, but once the front comes through, for the temperatures to drop, and the winds to shift directions. and then we transition to lake effect snow. we know what lake effect snow is. it means not everyone gets hit with snow. especially if you live west of cleveland. that's the case with this storm. 18 right now downtown cleveland. obviously if you live across the east, you are going to get hit a little bit harder. that. 20s. chilly out there. wind chills are a big weather hours. one saving grace is tomorrow, martin luther king jr. day. schools are off and a lots of businesses are closed. and that will help out with the morning.

a few snow showers as we head east. we are in a little lull as the lake effect gets cranked out. summit county and akron-canton, dry. and north olmstead and medina, brunswick, not much snow. it will get cold. and that's where the wind chill advisory is in effect, south and west of greater cleveland. we will watch the snow showers get going here. see what is happening in western michigan? this is the future for us. that is lake effect snow off of lake michigan. the front has moved through. very cold air moving in behind arctic air, certainly. and lake effect snow will start to go, the heaviest will be tonight through the overnight hours and during the morning hours on monday, before things do begin to quiet down. heading through the afternoon. warnings here. lake snow warning. lake geauga and ashtabula county, through noon tuesday. 6-12 inches likely along the lakeshore. once you head inland though, all bets are off. 10-16, plus possibly even more some areas across the inland areas of erie county into pennsylvania, could see up to two feet.

across the east. we are looking at highs in the teens tuesday. a little warmer through wednesday and into thursday. conflicting reports coming out this afternoon about the browns defensive coordinator, john wolf report nath titans defensive coordinator ray thornton was insulted by tennessee and plans to join the browns in the same role. soon after hornton went on record and denied the record and as far as he knows he is still under contract. in other browns news, the browns head coach hugh jackson surely. in an interview report on bleacher radio he was asked if he was in las vegas and would it make johnny man schedule -- johnny manziel a nonstarter. and he said it would.
