news channel 5 beagainst now with breaking news. a kent state professor under investigation accused of trying to recruit students for isis. it's breaking news we have been digging into all night long. >> reporter: the professor just talked about the accusations? he denied everything through a student reporter here on campus. fbi agent were on campus talking to students. professor julio pino is investigated for alleged ties to isis and trying to recruit students. agents interviewed faculty members and more than 20 students of julio pino. one of those happened to be the student of the newspaper

the joint force against terrorism has been investigating for a year and a half. she talked to pino. >> i have written a couple of articles about professor pino. i wanted to see what we talked about in the interviews and trying to get more information on him. >> everything that i've done as far as i know, including with lawyers and other that told me is perfectly legal. i have not broken the law. i don't advocate that anyone he is break the law. >> reporter: now, in separate statements, the university and the fbi told us there is no threat to the campus but this is not the first time that this 55-year-old professor has been in hot water here. back in 201 1-bgs pino got in trouble for shouting "death to israel" during a speech. we checked his facebook page and that was full of controversial images. he is still teaching here

cleveland's fire union says there is a major concern. broken boilers say that some firefighters are living in stations in the 50s. >> it's a problem finding the right boiler part. they know this is a high priority, but we didn't stop there we took this case directly to cleveland city hall to see what more can be done. >> reporter: cleveland fire station 7m on northern avenue, firetrucks on the move outside while, inside, a broken boiler has firefighters living in conditions in the 50-degree range. it's the same story at station 23 on madison avenue. 117th. >> it's an absolute concern. again, you need to have these
