. just over a week, the iowa caucuses. the democrats have a new front runner and on the republican side, donald trump is pulling away from the field. the latest cnn poll showed trump has a double-digit lead in iowa. a closer look at the numbers show that a victory over his closest rival, senator ted cruz all depends on turnout. when only those who caucused in 2012 are polled, his race disappears and becomes a dead heat.

new at noon, one of the bus drivers involved in a three-bus crash in streetsboro has been charged. 48-year-old templeton of ravena is charged with one count of assured clear distance ahead. that is a minor misdemeanor. last wednesday's crash injured one driver and 18 students, all of them expected to recover. overland college's president is not responding to the list of demands compiled and submitted to him last month. the 14-page list was gathered by a number of black students, including goals like increasing the amount of black faculty members and creating

winter art is turning heads. people are freezing their jeans and other clothing and putting them in their yard as ice sculptures, a way to put comedy to the cold temperatures there. it started with one minneapolis resident placing frozen pants across the neighborhood to lighten the mood. hundreds are joining in on the fun posting the photos on social media and that is one way to have fun. one guy in minnesota said that he was walking his dog. his dog got spooked and ran off. great thing for everyone. especially the dog owners. >> no, you know what? that is really interesting. maybe we can try it here soon. >> although the great news is that we're warming up. >> technically we are. and not this weekend. we would probably have to shoot for next week. let's get to the weather headlines. we have a lot to talk about. so, well, not for us but for other parts of the country. clouds are hanging on. by that, we're seeing mostly cloudy skies out there. don't you need sun already? i know i do. it's cold, by the way.

snow reaching southern counties. what i mean by that, we have the big monstrous system getting ready to move across the northeast and because we impact here in northeast ohio. let's go ahead and take a look at that system. here it is in all of its glory. we have a lot of things going on in the map. you're seeing this pink here, this orange here, green, purple -- i superimposed that. the watches and were warmings issued for the southeast in washington, d.c., and some york. in the blue and white, we're seeing snow so you can see so it sloughing into southern ohio and parts of nashville seeing pink. north carolina and south carolina, seeing icy weather. a lot of wintery weather is going on just below us, and we missed it by this much. in play. we had the area of low pressure moving from the gulf that gave

hit the atmosphere. once it's in contact with the the beginning. we saw this coming. we're going to see that system continue to bank all the way through the northeastern seaboard of america and that is going to be wreaking havoc for a lot of people living in the dmv area, as we head into the highly populated area. so, what is going on closer to home? what we don't have much to talk northeast wind. something interesting taking place, the high pressure setting up north of the storm system to the south of us is calling the winds to spew this way opposed to this way, which we're used to. that is why the snow is hitting areas like lorain county, cuyahoga county and instead of lake county, the traditional snow about what we're used to. and it's there and here is the temperatures. i want you to notice that we're leveling out in the 20s as we head throughout the evening. and you can see how it snuck up there in tuscaroras county, the

leaking a half an inch to an county. other than that, you'll be fine. the rest of us, sunshine breaking through the clouds on saturday and more sunshine breaking in on sunday. everyone should be seeing sun by sunday and temperatures very chilly and warming into the 30s throughout the weekend. temps. 25 degrees in cleveland now; 23, wooster and coshockton. and we're going to take it hour- by-hour as we head throughout the evening. getting ready to put the dancing shoes on and head downtown. you're going to be cold. bundle up. temperatures around 24 degrees this evening. cloudy conditions because you don't have to worry about from sip. no snow or rain as we head through the next few hours. in that power of 5 seven-day forecast, what you can expect are temperatures in the 30s by sunday. monday is when the warm-up comes in to place, though, and i guess we could take it compared to what we're seeing today. a few flurries here and there
