it was the heavy, wet snow. that is good. the salt does a good job with that. air temperatures are near freezing. 32 downtown; 32 in north royalton and notice as far as the 5 live radars go, we're not seeing any type of snow and that is good news. the closest is across the east. the route 11 corridor and as it moves out, we'll track, won't you believe it, another band of snow coming in later tonight and during the day tomorrow. look at this. this is the big storm system. a lot of rain as well and snow east. and hear are your advisories out. they will expire soon and at this point, scheduled to expire at 1:00. wouldn't be surprised if the weather is -- [ indiscernible ] to expire before that time. your hour-by-hour temperatures in the lower 30s and again, a afternoon. there. for the most part, we're not talking about anything like what we saw overnight where

inches of snow south and east of cleveland, breaking down the accumulation totals and what you can expect now and between this time tomorrow. that is coming up, leon. >> thank you, jason. and as jason showed on his map, canton was one of the hardest hit areas in morning in our part of the state and sarah phinney was there in canton as crews cleaned up one of ohio's top tourist attractions. >> traffic is moving just fine here on interstate 77 near canton. it took odot hours this morning to get it all cleaned up. this report was more than 100 trucks working around their area that includes summit and stark counties. others worked to treat the mess in massileon in downtown canton and reported multiple disabled vehicles and several accidents throughout the morning. shovels and plows necessary at the pro football hall of fame. one man started working at midnight to make sure the sidewalks and parking lots were clear for tourists. >> and that is good for him and for us, too.

30 to 60-day time period. sebring officials discovered high lead levels and some homes last summer. most residents learned about the problem in january. and there was chaos and confusion in downtown cleveland today after a 911 caller said shots were fired in a store on west 9th street. the shooter could have a hostage. the call came from crush clothing in the warehouse district around 6:30 last night. police are still not confirming if there was a standoff or a robbery attempt, but they did seychelle casings were found inside the clothing store. dozens of residents living in the building above the store, we're told, to stay inside for three hours. >> oh, my gosh. this is real. i didn't know it was real until i saw it from our window. >> at least one suspect at the store was arrested. the gang unit also arrested someone a few blocks away. >> and a warning about the dangers of hoverboards. the police in orange village said the two-wheel scooter

lower, however, than they were last month. get this, in toledo, a price war between two gas stations allowed some drivers to fill up for pennies. a computer glitch caused one of the stations to drop the price to 19 cents a gallon while minutes later, the gas station across the street there in tolito -- toledo dropped the prices to 17 cents. the customers said i am in disbelief. >> -- my whole gas, filled up for 26 cents. i told her to put 10 on it and gave me 5 bucks and i have to get my change. okay. and that extra low pricing lasted three hours before returning to $1.51 a gallon and that is all over now. and more now on the messy storms dropping a dangerous the mix of weather left 15 states from north carolina to maine on alert.

thousands of accidents and a three-hour delay of opening for the federal government office in washington, d.c. this morning and elizabeth herr has the latest there. >> reporter: this morning, the national weather service will be on the ground looking into 17 reported tornados from florida to louisiana and that left homes and businesses damaged and destroyed, ripped off buildings and debris across the streets and nearby water. further north, the a mix of snow and ice made a busy morning for emergency crews responding to over 2,000 wrecks in 24 hours across 17 states virginia alone. it was not just cars but the traction. take a look at the pedestrians trying to make it on the street without slipping. >> we could not step it out and stepped out and slid all the way to the curb. >> reporter: and the conditions also leaving miserable.
