police say they car jacked a victim. be on the lookout for a silver impala that belongs to the son of the police chief. a gun was inside the car at the time. anyone with information is asked to call the police department. new information tonight on the battle over the legality of east cleveland camera tickets. we've learned exclusively that now a citizens group will be asking the zero h high attorney general to rule that thousands of the tickets invalid. why is cleveland continuing to issue tickets when the new law is in effect. >>reporter: well, it's a relatively new law and they say

the case is being taken to the ohio supreme court. meanwhile dozens of residents have come together and are asking the ohio attorney general for help. the unmonitored traffic cameras are still up and running with thousands of drivers hit with a $95 citation. residents say they will not pay the fine. >> i'm just a regular guy just going to work and trying to feel like i'm being harassed here. and i think what east cleveland needs to do is find other ways to generate revenue. >>reporter: east cleveland law directors told me that they'll be filing with the supreme court in april looking to get the ohio law deemed unconstitutional. both sides are taking their cases to the state of ohio hoping to make an appeal.

the wider view isspreading in west to east. also winds going to be an issue as we head into tomorrow coming out of the south 15-25 miles per hour. that's what's going to allow for the gradual warmup back into the '60s as we start off the week. we're tracking the windy weather along with temperatures well above normal, but midweek rain possibly wednesday through sunday of next week picking up two to 3 inches of accumulation. i'm going to show you hour by hour, day by day when the rain starts to head in. severe storms bringing flash flooding and heavy snow, and forecasters say it's only going to get worse. freezing for a reason to raise money for charity. you're watching news channel 5 at 6 , and we'll be right back. between making noise, (tapping sound) and making sense.

in memory of of a little girl from cleveland. >> i wanted to show support for the people that have cancer. >> organizers hope to beat last year's donations of nearly $100,000. how would you like to spend the day at the beach or maybe on the golf course and get paid for it all? the cleveland metro parks is hiring seasonal positions. the park officials hosted food service jobs, counselors and maintenance positions. most jobs offer a 40 hour workweek. >> our minimum age for hiring is 16 years old. and basically most positions do need a valid drivers license, but as long as they're 16 years or older, you can qualify for most positions here within the park district.

event, another event is scheduled for next saturday. the region in california is battered by rain in 18 hours, wind gusts, snapping trees and bringing down power lines and producing heavy snow in the the mountains there. >> what a change for them to get it and not us. >> exactly right. we're snow deficient here in northeast ohio. today we were hoping for a little bit more sun, but it really didn't materialize. it depended where you were at. kind of a gray day to be out in our temperatures barely stepping out of the 40s in most spots.

the sunset is is coming in. still cooler air continuing to be in play. temperatures starting to warm up. taking a look at our radar. we're not tracking any moisture right now, but these high clouds continue to move in from west to east and are going to be pretty dominant as we head into the rest of the night. also you're going to notice a big transition in our winds throughout tomorrow into tuesday afternoon. they're coming out of the south, but when we see that kind of flow, it allows for the warmup temperatures back into the '60s, but 15-20 miles per hour throughout your monday into your tuesday afternoon. they really start to subside as

as you can see, this is our contouring wind map starting to track in here, and it's kind of large and in charge throughout your monday afternoon. so hour by hour if you're stepping out, no dread of any moisture, but temperatures still into the upper 30s. look at this bar graph. it's on the upward trend as we head into tomorrow afternoon. i want to show you the future cast. just after lunch tomorrow, look at our temperatures from wayne county here. we do have a chance of isolated sprinkles moving in late evening. it's going to be a quick-mover here. by tuesday look at this. 3 o'clock we are at 60, near 70 degrees in most spots in northeast ohio. so temperatures well above normal for tuesday afternoon. also the big weather story is this track of the system. this is gulf moisture making its way onshore as we head into

winning a super bowl. the quarterback has decided to retire after 18 seasons in the nfl. an official announcement will be made tomorrow. manning is 39 years old and played 18 seasons in the nfl and will clearly have a space in the hall of fame. this season, while he struggled at times, with the help of the number one defense in the league, he led the team to a super bowl win and retired as the only quarterback in league history to lead two franchises to the titles. he's helped a countless amount of young people in the community, among them, cardale jones. he will likely be drafted in the upcoming nfl draft.
